if you're not totally sold on going with 17" wheels, i personally think 16" Enkei RPF1s would look perfect.

I'm gonna sleep on it tonight, but as of right now, I'm leaning towards getting the Enkei wheels for the reasons previously mentioned. I'll decide in the morning and hopefully order them tomorrow morning.

http://www.fd05.com/

BUT, I found out that they also come in a matte black:

hmmm decisions decisions. I wish I could see pics of the 4-lug version though. the look of the rim changes so much when the number of lugs changes. At least with 5 lug, the lug position matches with the spoke. That's the one thing I hate about 4 lug honda's.

Those RMP2s are nicer than any of the ones you've shown. I think it's a smoking deal on them, too. I would've been interested if they were 5 lug, but...

I do agree they look nice, maybe nicer than the ones I've shown,

But the price of those at $137/wheel compared to new rims at $160/wheel is a no brainer IMO. I would have to buy tires for either set of wheels I got so that's a moot point. Paying an extra $100 and getting brand new wheels is a good tradeoff don't you think? And on top of that, the quote I got included road hazard program which I always get on the tires I purchase becuase the freeways are so bad here in so cal.

You work at JPL right? My best friend owns a shop nearby. Take Woodbury east till you hit Fair Oaks then make a right, and it'll be on Howard and Fair Oaks on your right hand side. Green and yellow paint. Ask for Edgar or Walter and tell em Eric sent you. They'll hook it up.

Rota Circuit 10 = Mugen MF-10 replicas pretty much, plus they come in 4x100 bolt pattern so you can fit them on your GSR. Looks great on Integras in general IMO....

Rotas are very lightweight also, know tons of people with them but have yet to hear of a wheel failure/major quality issue. Several different finishes and should be $120-160 a wheel, very affordable

UGH I can't decide I spoke with a buddy of mine and he just happens to have some used GSR Blades for sale.

Here's a quick and dirty breakdown

Option 1)
Buy used OEM wheels from my buddy.

Used OEM Wheels (includes shipping): $400
Tires: $600 (approx)

Total: $1,000
Option 2)
Buy new set of aftermarket wheels as was planned for later anyway.

Wheels + Tires: $1300
Lowering Springs: $200

Total: $1,500

Option 3)
Buy new set of aftermarket wheels as was planned for later but increase my budget

Wheels + Tires: $2000
Lowering Springs: $200

Total: $2,200

It's a $500 difference now, but I probably would have put a budget of $2K on rims if I bought them later. I'm wondering if I should splurge a little more and increase my budget and get some nicer wheels. From my standpoint, spending the $1k on buying the used wheels and new tires seems like a waste, when that is already 50% of the cost of the wheels I would have bought later. Someone give me a reality check. Am I being stupid or does this make sense?

Go with the modest budget and springs. Wheels don't look right on a car with a stock ride height. And i have been looking high and low for a clean white DA, damn those are hard to find!

Ok you RPF1 guys sold me.

Enkei RPF1 are on the top of my list.

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Brand
http://www.enkei.com/RacingSeriesSpecs/RPF1.html

The 16" rim weighs 13.6 lbs. and 10 lbs. for the 15" rim!

I got a quote from tirerack ~ $1368, 16 x 7 rims, Yokohama S.Drive tires, mounted and balanced and necessary hardware (lugs, hub centric rings). Only thing is the wheels don't come with caps.

Now the question is weight savings and performance.

I can get the 15" rim and buy oem spec sized tires and NOT have to lower my car right now but take advantage of the fact that the 15" rim weighs over 6 pounds lighter! I just hope the 15" rim looks good.

I think you're right. It seems that there are also more tires to choose from in 16" diamaters compared to 15". The weight savings would have been awesome in the 15" rim though. Oh well.

I'm gonna think about it for a couple hours before I place the order.

Do you think I'll still need to lower the car with the 16" rim with 205/45/16 tires?

I could deal with some odd wheel well gap for a few weeks just so I can buy shocks and springs at the same time.

^^^^ Changed my order.

I went back and changed the order to 17" wheels instead. I'm sure the 16's would have looked great. But I wanted the 17" look with low pro tires.

Unfortunately though, they only had 3 17" wheels in stock so I gotta wait till the 21st which when they expect to ship them.

Good thing I haven't sold the CL-S yet, otherwise I'd be without a car.

$1387 for everything. Tires, wheels, mounting and balancing, free lug nuts and centering rings, and also got a set of wheel locks and shipping.

Just my luck, one of the boxes that was supposedly shipped is currently lost.

Fedex says they never picked it up, Tirerack doesn't know where it is either. So now I have to wait for the other box that was shipped at the same time as the one that was lost to see if it shows up because it may have not been scanned at all.

And to make things better, the engine light on my wife's sentra came on this morning.
And to make things even better, this morning I noticed that the wheel lock for my CL-S is missing.
