Well...the S2000 needed more doors, more driven wheels, and a lot more torque...

Glad you are having such a good time with it and such a good experience as well. It definitely doesn't hurt that it is one of the best look EVs on the road.

Sword fight?
Thank you good sir!
The old one right?
I went for a drive! I got it uncovered and unplugged to get ready to drive the next day. Took it for a quick spin Sunday night and then drove it to work on Monday since it was in the high 50's/low 60's on Monday. I bought it with 26k on the clock late last June and it just ticked over 29k. Half that mileage was just driving it home.
Fun story...it was 60F yesterday and it's now 16F and snowing outside and tomorrow morning will have a -10F windchill...and then up into the mid to high 60's by Saturday lol. Gotta love MN weather!

Wow schizo weather! It’s awesome that you got a break to enjoy it!
as far as your twin, no, I wasn’t the one that posted the old classic. (I mean I posted one months ago, the recent post of the classic mustang wasn’t me.)
It was my post on Monday, I uploaded a few pics from a car meet and one is a gt350.

Temps are back down into the 30's and 40's so car is parked up again for a while.
Reminder that I should probably go plug it back in.

Fewer pedestrians too, which will unfortunately limit your max combo score when crowdplowing
joke aside, if it’s cold but the roads are dry, do you still refrain from taking it out?

Yeah, I don't take it out when it's that cold regardless. The tires are like driving on hockey pucks so it's sketchy from the get go. Just not worth it.
Not like I'm slumming it in my other car lol.

Weather is finally starting to warm up consistently so car is coming back out to play (hopefully for good) starting tomorrow. First car show of the year is this Saturday!
With all this coming up I need to get the oil changed. Reached out to a local shop that specializes in building boosted Mustangs (I'm not going to boost it) and set up a time for Thursday. The cost? $225.
Before everyone comes out with pitchforks over why not DIY this. First of all the labor part of that total is only $30 and second of all I don't want to use my time/resources to fuck around with it for that price. The rest of it is all parts/oil. The car uses 10-11 quarts of some unicorn blood 5w50 oil at $13/qt and a bespoke oil filter not used on any other Ford for $40.
The cost to change the oil for my other car is $0 so I guess it all averages out.

Nope, normal pan. It is a lot of synthetic dead dino juice for sure. #america.

^ Agreed which is why I'm going to a specialized shop with a highly recommended technician and not some random dealership.

Another example: (turns out it was the freaking service manager that did this, I called back & got his vm) WTF???
Got a text from Toyota, bad picture of some dirt under the passenger side valve cover, message says valve cover leak/from the advisor. I call to ask is that the passenger side & am told she is off. I asked to speak to someone else & am dumped into her VM.
Another reason I hate taking my car for service.

Yeah I also hate dealerships. They are already run as a "make as much money as possible" route and employ all the idiots and newbies. For many basic run of the mill cars designed to be used and abused, it's fine but for performance and special cars the risk is higher.
Finding a reputable shop is invaluable. I've been texting the tech to get everything set up and can definitely tell he's both knowledgeable and prepared.

The bed is not separate from the rest of the body which is why it's so expensive to repair. Replacing the whole thing would amount to replacing the entire body structure which is nuts. I don't know why PDR isn't the first option in general regardless of make/model.

Car is back and has a clean bill of health. Total cost was just under $200 as the oil wasn't as expensive as they initially quoted.
The guy doing the work was great, super knowledgeable, he builds GT4 race Mustangs as part of his business and daily drives a 2020 GT that is fully built and twin turbo, pushes 1000whp and runs quarter miles in the 8s range.
