That's a neat mount. I have a dragy that I've used a handful of times, last with the Golf. I need to charge it up again and play with it.

Before someone says the color doesn't match, here is an angle that better represents the color, I need to see if I can fix the alignment.

Would've been much easier to send them to me so you didn't have to paint them.

Alignment is tough, get the front right & it's too far back, back right too far forward, I compromised.

On the house front, 21 year old faucets were leaking, some were off for over a year.

Plumber wanted 250 per faucet (10)to fix them, I got new complete assemblies for 110 each, I have been replacing them one at at a time.

3rd faucet set is done, added wrinkle, the 21-year-old under sink valve has a stem made of plastic & thanks to hard water, broke. I got 6 valves & replaced these 2.

Called the warranty company, under sink valves are covered, letting someone else do the remaining 4, I'll see if I can pay him 100 bucks under the table to do the remaining 2 faucets, if no, I'll have him leave the hoses from the valves off & do them myself.

Before..

After..

Also, dog door panes..

The dogs were confused by the clear panes, took a bit to realise they could go through. lol

Turned out, the silver one would have been a restriction as it's running engine coolant so I got this used one from a guy that had a 1k HP Tundra that was running sub 10 second 1/4 miles.

Dealing with the SC reservoir reminded me I have cooling system parts....

I just pulled the 5/31/2023 (date on the delivery label) radiator, thermostat & silicon hoses for the Sequoia out of the abyss of parts called my garage, I had forgotten I had the hoses & thermostat.

Also totally forgot I have a fan.

1 is at the differential side of the driver lower control arm pivot, 2 at the outside, 3 at the shock. 4 is at the inner side of the pass lower control arm, 5 is at the differential side of the passenger lower control arm.

It's helpful, I thought the bulk was on the passenger side.

I drove the BMW in 110 degrees to the pool store a mile away, temp elevated slightly so I opened the hood & the lever was super hot because the filter for the SC oil landed right under it & while I was there.....

Got it back, only the radiator & cooling parts in, he had an emergency after wasting an hour not getting the 2.3 pulley off. Said it is too small for the puller I got the original off with & he broke his puller trying.

I'll bring the truck back Saturday for the cats.

It was idling for 20 minutes before I left, running almost 20 degrees cooler, the thermostat that was there looked new.

Dishwasher feed hose broke, entire sink/cabinet/bar area has to be demoed, new quartz counter tops & some kind of nicer cabinets will be installed.

Had a washer backup last month. 5 fans & a dehu for 4 days. Luckily no damage requiring demo other than a hole cut in the laundry room wall.

That really sucks, guy I work with, the pipe to the refrigerator burst while he was out. Guess is the water ran for 3-4 days…

Also, dumb question, from a dumber guy, but you said you’re getting new cabinets and counter, why run the dryers with the cabinet there? Should you demo asap and dry under / behind those cabinets?

this is years ago, but we had a drip from the AC condensation line in our walls that went un-noticed for a long time… we had to take down some walls, pull out carpets and then we had 4-5 of those dryers in the house for weeks.

i hope you find the cabinets and counter you like fairly quickly. Good luck!

No fun, sorry.

About 3 years ago, the water heater blew up (figuratively) flooded the garage, that was like 6 of the darn machines for a week. But it was easily ignored as it was in the garage. This is in the middle of the open floorplan 20 foot ceiling house.

The water has seeped into the tile/flooring all the way to the front of the dining room (per the beeping moisture-detecting machine that looks like a stun gun)

We had an appointment Tuesday with a plumber that ghosted us, this was the second plumber. He came at 3pm & made his determination/finished after 4, the mitigation gut came at 5 & his guys dropped off the noise machines at 6.

The moisture needs to be reduced asap and I was not having demolition at 7pm so they are starting at 9am.

I see, I misunderstood your post, I thought you had to wait for it to dry before demo starts.
can you keep your floor tiles, or that has to come out too?

being down a kitchen is a pita, good luck and sorry you’re dealing with this…

Luckily, my entire house is tile, and the fans/dehu got the moisture to 'normal range'. So we didn't have to do any demo.

This area is tile, the other side of the wall is wood floors.

Underneath is concrete.

Maybe we can avoid demo

All of my downstairs tile had to come out and be replaced due to my recent water damage experience. The water got under the tile and washed out the thinset, leaving the tiles hollow underneath and prone to breaking. It was a nightmare....not to mention the mold.

I hope the tile is ok, we installed hard wood floors and there was an area adjacent to the dining room (where the wood is currently in danger) where a small amount of tile had to come out and that was a major pita, I can't imagine 80% of the kitchen coming out.

Had a pipe get a pinhole leak in our old house while we were out of town for 10 days. Most basements in MN have carpet because cold so that was fun to deal with. Thankfully no structural damage but we did have to rip out all the carpet, padding, cabinets, trim and patch some drywall in the process. Learned a lot DIY repairing all that shit so that was fun.

Interesting part is that we put the carpet and padding on craigslist for free and someone came to get wet carpet and padding lol. No dumpster needed!
