Yup. Unfortunately the rotors were warped and I wasn't using the old pads.

Now I know for certain not replacing them in '21was the right call.

Apparently, we banged the valve cover on the firewall, it is leaking.

So I got a new one with gaskets.

Previous owner 1/2 Ass shitty repairs rears its ugly head again.

The 3rd brake light lens was old so I got a new one.

Supposed to disconnect electrical connector, unscrew 2 screws, pop out the lens & light assembly, reverse

NO! he glued the motherfucker in!

My guess is it was leaking and they used glue/sealant to stop it.

It does not absolve them from their stupidity though

You got a problem with that?

If you don't like the badge, you'll really be pissed when the gills go on.

lol

Well if you're going to do it, do it right. Gotta source the front LCAs, top hats, knuckles, rear axles and arms to get the M geometry.

Nope, it handles great & no way there is 5k+benefit which is minimum what that costs in those parts.

It is 85+% M, that is good enough for me.

I don't think he means making the car an M. I think he means don't badge it like it is one. I would rather you slap a supercharger badge on there.

Considering the parts bin nature of these Ms, I'm M enough for me, I don't like SC badges, don't have them on either vehicle.

The only non M thing here is the suspension & the front is better.

For the record, if the VIN starts with "WBA" and not "WBS," it's not an M car...no matter how many badges get slapped on there.

Mine has neither, it is from SC & has 4USC.

lol

Dinan ,makes you buy at least 3 major parts to give a badge, those cars are still BMWs lol

Not "slapping badges" I have added most of the M parts, I'm as much of no M badges on non M cars guy as anyone but this has all the important M parts the M version had (plus upgrades) so I'm cool adding the badge.

Also:

Also, it is not being sold as an M, it will most likely never be sold (until I'm gone)

A) never had a Honda, (B) I never slapped a badge on anything.

I did the hard work to install all the M parts, Then when it was done, made the decision the M badge was appropriate.

No one else has to like it.

Also....

I won't sleep until you admit that:
  • You've had a Honda (pressure washer, generator, etc)
  • You have now slapped a badge on something.

ZHP weighted shift knob came today, man it's nice!

I have it on good authority, someone else around here has slapped this M "badge" on their car.

Also, that is the center console of a FULL M interior!

:P

Uh huh......

https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...M-Package-quot

There is no such thing as an M Package, buy you may have the sports suspension. Lots of Z3s have the ///M logo in the steering wheel, and may have other odds and ends with the logo on - for instance I have an ///M gearknob, just because I wanted a nice leather one.

You have the M54 engine (not the S54). What parts are you looking for that come up as for the Z3M? Remember, lots of parts are common to all the Z3 models. As mentioned, RealOem will help yuo find the parts specific to your chassis.

Based on this (simplistic response) Ruh roh....

If it has a 3.0L engine its not an M - its that simple

If it has a 3.2L engine, it IS an M

I have an M... :P

There are a slew of other references in that thread that (due to my mods) that they say make it an M. lol

All 2001 and 2002 models came with the sport package from the factory. That included the M branded steering wheel, sport seats, chrome M shift knob, and 2 piece BBS wheels.

https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/2...ackage.578034/

I misspoke and called it an M-Sport Package, but it's still a sport package with M badging from the factory - UNLIKE SOMEONE I KNOW
