Hertz speakers installed in Tacotunes 6x9 adaptors for the front doors, Image Dynamics in Tacotunes spacers for the back doors.
Amps ready to go, Opened the box of interfaces/adaptors from Crutchfield, sat radio & nav antenna connectors missing, ordered from Amazon install delayed. grrrrr
Last night I tore into the dash, replaced the vent & hooked up the radio. I have no sound or steering wheel control. Checked the troubleshooting and found I had not connected the harness with the RCAs. Tried to connect them but the harness is wrong.
The standard Toyota power connector connects to the Maestro harness, but then I can't connect to the radio:
I need the female of the above male, I have this completely different connector.
I do have interaction with the Maestro & get the backup camera to come up in reverse but no picture, just the guide lines, hopefully, that is just a setting. Waiting for 6am when Maestro opens.
Buttons match the truck, TPMS & OBD2 functions done.
Ran the power cable through the firewall, it's already 90, need to run the RCAs, USB cables & install the amps, hoping to be able to shoehorn my JL stealthbox inside the driver rear 1/4 but its probable it won't fit. Those tasks are for next week.
I have purchased LIFETIME alignments on at least 6 cars since 2006 from Firestone. The latest, the 86. Except for the Z, none has been done after the initial purchase again.
170x6 = Too fucking much for at most 10 alignments.
I called Firestone corporate today, asked to speak to someone that can help me, was transferred to a sweet old lady most likely from Pacoima in "customer service" who had not a clue in the world what the fuck I was talking about but eventually said she would "create a case" and the regional manager would call within 48 hours.
George, the store manager just called and offered 20 bucks off I can get by finding a coupon. I said thanks George but that is not what I was looking for. I was in the truck sweating balls buttoning up the dash so I said I'll think about what I am looking for and call you back.
I'll be calling corporate tomorrow and getting someone at an executive level on the phone and if they give me shit, I'll point out a Big O tire is opening ACROSS THE STREET if they prefer I take my business elsewhere.
yes, because they already took your money 6 times over the last 14 years.
they dont care if use big o tire across the street
they have other suckers to fill in your gap.
Well, considering the lifetime alignment is for the lifetime of the car... seems a little excessive to expect them to compromise because you go through cars quicker than underwear.
A better idea might be to go ahead and stop buying the lifetime alignments and just pay by the job.
I have a hard time understanding why you're trying to make *your* problem *their* problem.
So wait. You're upset because you bought a lifetime alignment for each car and only used it once on each? Sounds like that was your mistake and they have no obligation to do anything about it. Nothing holding you back from going in 5 times a year.
I am upset I asked to speak to someone in a position of authority and was sent to a customer service rep with no authority. I am upset after telling that rep, I did not call the store because they have no authority and wanted to speak to an authority figure I got a call from the store.
I am not upset I paid for 6 lifetime alignments I used once except for one car.
I am asking for a reasonable accommodation as a good customer. Not demanding, not irately, not mad.
I used to get those lifetime alignments.
Let me tell you...it's not worth it. I recall going home after 1 and my wheel was crooked...another time my right rear wheel was visibly toeing out so badly the tire was catching the fender.
Let it go and just find a place that does $60 alignments and is trustworthy

There's something to be said for customer loyalty, can't hurt to ask. Worst they can say is no.
My dad needed a tire rotation on his Denali, but didn't buy the tires from Discount (still had the tires he bought it with). They did it, no questions, no issue, after seeing his customer history & the 15 cars he's bought tires for with Discount over the years.

I used to think that Discount Tire treated me speshul because they loved me too... but then I realized that they do that for all their whores and that we're not speshul at all. They do free flat repairs and rotations for everyone to get asses in seats.

There are not any alignment places near me except Firestone.

Discount is the closest and I like them, they don't do alignments.

.
they simply dont care. it's a large corporation. if you take your money elsewhere, someone will just replace you.
you'll have a better chance of getting free stuff from a mom and pop store who does value your business. but a large corporation will not care or wont even notice you gone.

Unfortunately, there are no M&Ps left around here. This particular Firestone was the last one, a Fletchers that they absorbed.
Didn't say they owe me anything. Asking for customer loyalty perks.
a large corporation doesnt care about loyalty!
they wont even notice you gone!
they have so many customers that it doesnt matter if you take your money elsewhere.
also, they are betting on being the only alignment place in a 100mi radius. Monopoly!
you can ask for more than the $20, but a large corporation has strict rules. and likely that is all they will offer...thus why a mom and pop store will bend over backwards for you.
if you want to create a stink, try the socials. get on all the socials and cause a stir. maybe their PR department will see and offer you more than $20
You definitely didn't explain that well.
It seemed like you wanted it free because you were foolish enough to pay them for a lifetime alignment on vehicles that had a mosquito's lifetime during your ownership.
You know, REPEATEDLY.
Why not ask them if you can just give them a grand and maybe they can give YOU a lifetime alignment no matter what vehicle you have.
But after your 5th new vehicle in a year, I would check your cheerios for drano.
