Pretty sure DOT regs will keep it from being a 1-day excursion for any transport company. My guess is Saturday at the earliest, if it's not on a truck today.
In my youth, I lived in Santa Monica. I went to Seattle with a friend. On the way back I got tickets in Seattle, Somewhere in Oregon and finally, literally being pulled over in front of my apartment.
The Seattle ticket was total BS. I pulled out of a driveway, drove less than 1000 feet to a stop sign and the cop said I was going 75. I wrote a letter to the Kings County Sheriff asking them to look at the officer's record and that I bet it has an extreme amount of out of state tickets on it, explained where I pulled out from & where I was ticketed, and said my TT 300Z was fast but it was not funny car fast and that no street car could get up to that speed in that distance.

I am sure you are right. I want to reject reality but even I can't make this pretzel unbend.
To add to my thinking on the keys, they are a Toyota dealer, at a minimum they should have said, hey man, there's one key, do you want to buy another at cost?
I walked out on a deal where they said 2 and then when we got paperwork we were told there was only 1....
I was like then you're eating cost of giving me another.
I HATE only having 1 key.
Along with some other issues, I walked on an F150 a few years ago. Only had 1 key, no floor mats, no manuals. Dealer not willing to negotiate on the near dead tires was part of the deal killer.
Key is one thing, but mats & manuals are probably pulled & sold 2nd hand :thief:
Sales MANAGER (he said I'm not the salesman, I'm the MANAGER) just called, said the truck will be picked up between 5-7pm Corpus Cristi time (which in my mind is not really today) and asked me to stop calling corporate. He said he is communicating and there is no reason for me to call and complain. I said my primary complaint was being ignored by his boss and not about him.
I emailed his boss Tuesday without response. He said that is because he delegated it to him. I said that is great except common courtesy would be to respond Travis will be in touch (at a minimum)
Then I asked about the key and he said he was a used car dealer and they give what they have. I said ok, then I suppose I need to ask does it ae a spare? What else do I specifically need to ask about???
I said why can't you have a key made and he said he can't. I said ok, you'll get one key for the 86.
He had no response. I'm on hold for corporate again.
While on hold with corporate the boss called, complaining I am difficult and do I want to unwind the deal. I said hell no.
He went on a rant about their communicating fully and why am I complaining to corporate they are not. I said (between being interrupted) they had not and he specifically had not responded to my emails and having Travis eventually call and say he had delegated it to him is not right, at least he could respond Travis will be in touch.
I said they need to let me know when the vehicle is picked up and they will never hear from me again.
He said he did not care why I am upset and I said is that how you sell cars? That's very nice. He said in 38 years doing this he had never had such an unpleasant transaction and I said that's where we agree, I am 58, been buying cars since I was 17 and have never had such a bad experience, I hoped him 100 more people like me to darken his doors and that he not have a great day & hung up.

I'd unwind the deal and get that maroon one you posted earlier. Fuck those guys.
I won't give them the satisfaction. I am sure they have someone willing to pay more and that is why they have dragged their feet waiting for me to back out. If it gets on the transport today I'm not backing out.
They claim it is "guaranteed" to be delivered by Saturday.
I was on the phone with the shipper, they said they are scheduled to pick it up and there is a dry run fee if the truck is not picked up, while I was on with them corporate called, they assured me the truck will absolutely ship between 5-7 CC time 100%
I'm not patient. I never suggested otherwise. But this situation has been ridiculous from the start and hopefully, AN will take my report of their employee misbehavior and address it. I'll never do business with them again.
