Just when you think couldn't get anymore strange, you end up in the hospital having emergency surgery done to remove your gall bladder. Well...at least, that's how my life goes.

Holy cr@p. Seriously?
Damn. Sorry to hear about that.
Hope you recover quickly.
That fuckin thing was slowing you down anyway!
Glad you caught it, it can be bad news, right?
No gallbladder means you'll have to be careful with greasy foods from now on?
Sorry to hear, Tim Dog.

Take it easy.

For a while at least. My wife had hers out in 2013. Kept the greasy/spicy foods to a minimum for quite a while. Just have to phase that stuff back in slowly & see how you react to it.

Docs say 2 weeks before I can start phasing greasy and fatty back into my diet. Since those descriptions dominate my diet on a normal basis, I will be anxiously looking forward to that.

Sorry to hear that sir. My wife had the same issue and had hers removed 2 years ago...while in the midst of a roadtrip vacation too...it put us through, some pretty stressful hell. But, she said the pain was unlike anything...beats even giving birth...so, you were through a gauntlet recently.
Her diet is more or less back to normal now but yeah, saw your post, you just have to ease into it.
Yikes sorry to hear T. Wishing you a fast and painless recovery.
Both my father and my brother have had gallbladders burst. I thought mine was this past September. I went to the ER and it turned out instead to be bad acid re-flux and dehydration. That was a nasty ER bill for something I could have treated at home.
Luckily, I suppose, my wife didn't have gallstones or a burst.
Her issue was that it wasn't 'flowing' properly, either bile was too thick or it was restricted, I don't recall.

You definitely got it from the dudes who came over to detail your car.
Nope. Got none of the good stuff. Just over the counter Tylenol.
I dealt with that when I had my wisdom teeth taken out when I was a teenager. They were impacted too. 80 year old dentist wouldn't prescribe anything so OTC Tylenol was it. The pain was intense. Sorry you're going through that.
