i got a red light ticket yesterday and the cop didnt write everything on the ticket. if the cop didnt write my drivers license number but wrote my name and address, is this considered and invalid ticket?

please no idiotic irrelevant comments like "you ran the light, just pay the ticket" etc.

i never said i didnt run the red light even though i think it was yellow. my point is the law is the damn law. the bitch cop had a right to write me a ticket but if that dyke didnt fully disclose everything on the ticket, then i have a right to fight that it is an invalid ticket.

If you know it was a yellow, dish out and get a lawyer and fight it. Hell they'll tell if you the ticket is valid because the Police Officer didn't completely fill it out.

She was probably bitchy because she was on the rag. This is clearly not your fault either, and you shouldn't be held accountable for her menstruation, or the mood swings she encounters as a result of them.

She only wrote you a ticket because she has feelings of inadequacy stemming from a number of bad relationships with men, hence the "dykiness" you experienced. Clearly you are not responsible for her past love life and the baggage she carries from it.

Back to reality, you ran a red light, got a ticket, and the officer didn't write your DL# on the citation, but probably filled in your name, address, DOB and maybe even your Soc#.

Sounds like an invalid ticket to me (I should know, I was a psychology major so I know people), so I wouldn't bother paying it. Seriously.

As others have hinted on, courts will tend to overlook minor errors on a citation. For example, a spelling error on your name won't get the ticket thrown out; however, if there were several errors on the citation, this would work in your favor should you try to contest the ticket. Your argument or your attorney's would be that the officer made several errors in writing the citation, and this leads to the competence of the officer on that particular day in my opinion.

At the end of the day, did you run light or did you not? If you did, pay the fine and move on. If you didn't, take your case to traffic court and contest it.
