I got a ticket a month or so ago too, pulling through a filling station because my sorry butt was impatient while waiting on a slow traffic light. My officer filled out my ticket correctly. Am I upset that I got a ticket? Yes, I am, but the fact of the matter is, I was wrong and he was right. I broke the law...simply because I was impatient. Now, I can make excuses ALL day long, but it doesn't change the fact that the law is the law. I will go to court and simply acknowledge to the judge that I am sorry for wasting his time and my money by doing what I did.
Owning your mistakes is half the battle and acknowledging them is a sign that your growning up. So, even though you aren't really posting this comment to look for advise, but to look for ways out, let me offer you the opposite: Just grow up, shut up, pay up. Obey the law, acknowledge and own your mistakes when you mess up and you will be much better off in life. The world doesn't revolve around you and laws werent created so you could attempt to weasel your way out of em when you do.

I have no respect for anyone that runs red lights. I see it ALL THE TIME here. I must see 15-20 cars each day that do it. Not questionable yellow either, solid red just turned green on my side lights.
I want lights cameras here!
But yeah the ticket is valid, & even though I disagree with it, fight it in court & get a reduced fine or dismissed because I fight all tickets.
