The Ariel Atom look like a Lotus Super 7 (or kit car look-alike) without the bodywork. Except, that the Arial Atom is mid-engine (I think).

I like the bike analogy, its like a 4-wheeled sport bike. 500kg! awesome.

Seeing clarksons faces get flattened by the wind was the highlight of the video for me. Can anyone get a screen capture of that?

If I were going to go through the expense and trouble to get me one, I'd probably upgrade it with a CLS 6MT engine/tranny - S/C'd of course...

Then see if I can get the 0-60 under 2 seconds.

umm.. sorry to say but I don't think that would be an upgrade. Sure there would be more power, but as you know, Civic Type-R drivetrain = full race. The engine and tranny of a CL is not even close to being suitable for "racing"....

I don't know how the engine would do under the stress of racing, but I have a feeling the tranny won't like the repeated abuse too much....
