Can't wait to see if it goes to the top of their scale.

It was not fair of them to put the 997 on the scale after driving it in the rain though, I hope they get the Enzo on a sunny day.

Yeah, it's a shame it had to rain that day.. But, it was filmed in England, so sunny days are hard to come by I guess..

It was pretty funny when they showed Shtick(sp?) getting spun and everyone laughed.

Saab 9-5 vs. Harrier Mk.5 (Harrier was faster)
Exige vs. AH-64 Apache (Apache couldn't get a radar lock on the Lotus)

The Harrier lapped their track in 0:30 (Carrera GT was 1:19).

Might anyone happen to know why the colors are so out-of-whack when I try to play this using Windows Media Player 9?

It always makes me laugh when I see the 4 Cylinder Lotus Exige being on top of the GT3... David Vs Goliath and for once David wins...

And by the way, it was an appache Helicopter... A Harrier is a plane...

Cheers

Top Gear - Enzo test drive

I won't tell you if it got the fastest lap time, but I will tell you it was very close.

I've been waiting for them to do a review.

Edit: Just watched it and I have to say that's the best collection of cars I have ever seen on a car show. They're all just sick.

I kinda understand the appeal of the older super cars, but I'd have a hard time chosing them over a carrera or enzo.

BTW, maybe its just me but it seemed like the stig was a little hesitant in the Enzo, perhaps because of the circumstances under which they got it. Or maybe I was just seeing things

i bet you it wins first place, beating the GT. the enzo is the sickest car in the world imo (even better than mclaren).
that british dood on that show really hates american cars, esp the new corvette, but he was the first to admit that the GT kicks a$$, cuz it had the fastest lap time, last time i checked. but the enzo is quicker, i believe that in my gut,.... unless the test conditions favored the GT.

That british dude jeremy clarkson not only admited the GT kicks ass, he went out and bought one. SO from what i can tell he has gone from a Ferrari 355, to a Merc SL55 AMG, to a Ford GT. must be nice!

BTW, I think the Enzo needs a true race track to really shine. Some thing with higher speeds and lots of turns to really take advantage of the massive downforce and brakes.

The Enzo is an enigma to me. It's an absolutely amazing car but I really can't understand what it's made for. You can't really enjoy it unless you take it to a track but you can kick it's ass with a real race car for a lot less money. I guess it's for bragging rights, and no doubt I'd want one in my garage, but the whole thing doesn't make a lot of sense.

My guess is that a prototype class car could lap that track close to the 1 minute mark.

I guess, but you cant drive a race car on the road. Its kinda of an in between car . But all these super cars are for bragging rights anyways because noone is gonna drive them at their limits. The Enzo makes a good investment as well

Oops, someone was faster than me to answer to this... Sorry for the repost...

As for the Enzo, man I wish Stig had tested the Mclaren F1 on the race course... The Enzo is first but they never tested the Mclaren...

On the other hand, they agree that the Mclaren would kick the crap out of any production car on a straigth line... Wonder if the same could be said on a race course...

Any opinion anyone?

You know I was thinking about the (nearly) 1 second difference in lap time, and on second thought its not as close as I origionally thought. 1 second at 100 mph is 146 feet which is huge. multiply that by 50 laps or so and its not even a race.
