Love the leg dude....wanted one before I scooped up the TL but just too damn hard to find a Spec-B around here. Wasn't going to settle for less. I always drool when I see one done up proper.

Unfortunately fuel economy is too low for my traveling job. The more gas I use, the less money I make.

I'm going to test drive an 08 Subaru WRX hatch after work. After I sell my Wrangler, I'm hoping to find a 2009 under $20k with decent miles.

I believe the '09 got a pretty big bump in power, so good call.

Yes, 41HP I believe.

The 2008 I tested was a blast to drive. On Tuesday, I test drove a Mazda Speed3 and IMO there really isn't a comparison between the two, at least for me. AWD makes a world of difference and that chasm is fairly large. Having to wrestle all of the power of the Speed3 through the front wheels would be too tiring on a day-day basis.

And if you have to drive in winter weather there is no comparison.

That's why you get an MS6, best of both worlds.

Nothing special but I thought I'd share...

I can't do too much to the Forester because it's a lease but I got tired of the low output of the headlights, so I added 5000K HIDs and blue LED parking lights.

Next to the TL:

Have about 26K on the Forester and still love it. My dad is thinking about switching to an Outback when this lease is up. We're really happy with our Subaru

Can't wait for the first snowfall!

They are the same.

Impreza WRX STi. There were some talks of the WRX & STi trim leaving the Impreza line, but that hasn't happened yet.

Thinking About A Legacy Spec-b As A Next Car. I Really Want A hatch/Wagon Though. Is The Legacy trunk A Decent Size Compared To The Wrx Hatch?

Depending on if you're looking for new or used, you can pick up a nice 2005-2007 LGT wagon [see link for reference (not mine, just searched autotrader to see what's out there): http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...24169601&Log=0 ]

Why Subaru only offer the 6 speed manual on the Legacy line only to the 2.5i base?

the spec b or Legacy GT is discontinued in the US. If you go on the Subaru website only the 2.5i is offered in a 6 speed manual

Hey, I've got an idea, let's bump the Subaru thread back up to the top with a brillant question.

i wanted to

Unless Subaru has something going for the Legacy again, i will probably go with a WRX Limited. I wanted a 6 speed but not a STI.

Been a while. She's at 103k and still kicking. Probably get some money thrown at her soon. Koni's, other suspension bits, some maintenance...

But I will say, the 3.0 feels quick. The paddle shifting / sport# selection with the 5EAT is not that bad. I wish it was a 6 MT. It is quiet and smooth, but not a lot of mods for it. Unless you lower it and put spec B wheels on it.

And I'll do anything to keep this thread at the top

New member here. I'm on a few of the Subaru forums, mostly Nasioc. Same username. I'm considering selling my 2008 Spec.B and picking up a 2010 TL SH-AWD. Have any of you made the switch from Subaru to a TL or vise versa?

This is my car:

I came from a 2004 STi and I got my 2010 SH-AWD Tech TL in February. I am very happy with my decision. Of course, these are 2 very different cars but the TL offers enough performance for me to be happy with it and it is so comfortable to drive day-to-day and on trips. I have no regrets.

Meet the new daddy-mobile. It's a '13 3.6R with Nav, H/K 440 watt stereo etc. Basically loaded besides Eyesight & SAP (special appearance package). It's damn nice to have bluetooth and to be able to mob over rough roads and up driveways without having to go diagonal. Also comfortable and roomy as hell. 10x better daily driver than my Legacy (which is about to be put up for sale).

I did buy this because a car seat would not fit worth a shit in the back of my Legacy. Don't feel bad for me, I will have a BRZ with some sort of F/I in a couple of years.

Mods so far -

STi BBS with Yokohama YK580 225/60-17
STi 19mm rear sway bar
Tinted front windows to match

Have and need to install -

STi pedal set
Rear seat back protectors

Before too long -

Clear bra
Koni's all around
Legacy 3.6R springs (~2" drop)
Plasti dip lower grill bars and lower bumper protector
Debadge rear (except for 3.6R emblem which will get plasti dip)

dude I love your LGT... went a few steps too far huh? Congrats, sounds like you're enjoying it already

I've always swooned over the idea of an LGT Outback wagon, but lowered to regular LGT-like heights. The fender flares make them look beefy.

If having a baby was going too far, then yes, I went too far.

My beautiful daughter was born on Tuesday morning at 4:18 AM. Drove her home this morning in the OB.

and by going too far I meant modding well, at least it's obvious that there's something more important on your mind now
