So my sisters car was stolen..

Stolen 2 days ago and found today in Delaware.. BURNT. Was a sad image when me and my sis arrived at the towing yard. My car was parked right next to hers when it was stolen.. makes me think twice about the shitty OEM alarm. I need to get my viper in ASAP.

Wow that is fucking crazy.. Sorry that it happened to her, hope whoever did it gets caught, but that is probably unlikely.

Yep, thats exactly what she is doing. Her car had 108,000 miles so in a way its a good that it happend, but at the same time it makes you nervous about keeping your car in her neighborhood.. even though its a respectful and expensive complex.

Well, then I can't say I feel too bad for her then.

Congrats!

damn thats crazy.....honeslty though an aftermarket alarm isnt going to do shit for you, i had my previous car stolen and had a badass clifford on it. if they want it they'll get it one way or another. the whole purpose of an alarm is to separate the pros form the amateurs, at least thats how i feel about it. good luck with the new ride though!

That's too bad about the MDX, but hopefully insurance will cover it. And unless you have Lojack or some tracking service, an aftermarket alarm won't do much either. If thieves really want it, they'll take your ride. Can we all say flatbed truck? Anyhow, about alarms, I don't know about you guys, but when I hear an alarm go off in a parking lot, I ignore it. I think most people do the same.

that'll buff right out...LOL sike man im j/k, someone had to say it

but for real, i hate these thieves, and around b-more and dc, its so common. i have a viper alarm on my s2k, i really think the pager alarm systems are good if you live in the DC/BMore area and you like your car lol. good luck to your sis with everything...

Shit, that sucks man. Why did they steal it? I don't think it had any aftermarket stuff, and nothing is really missing from it (that wasn't burnt).

Thanks for all the concern guys! Yeah its a bummer, but insurance is covering most of what she paid for the car. Im gonna be putting in a 791XV in my car when I find someone to do it for me (and do a damn good job concealing the wires and all). I know the range isnt all that great, but its enough to signal me when my car is infront of my house or her apartment.

Im guessing it was stolen just as a get-away vehicle. To get from point A (Bmore) to point B (Delaware). Then burnt so there would be no finger print or any other evidence in the car. I never imagined this kinda shit happening to anyone in my family.. just proves that shit happens every now and then.

What strange here is that the car is not stripped...the wheels, the motor...it even looks like they left the radio/navi in it!!!
