shitty nissan dealer to avoid

so me, my friend and his dad went out looking for cars, cause his dad wants to get a new car. hes looking at the tl, the old s4 (used) and the g35c. we went to the nissan dealer across from Westchester BMW to check out the 350z (its in White Plains, NY) and it was THE WORST dealer ever, heres why:

westchester bmw just built this huge covered 2 story parking garage and has tons of customer parking. across the street. nissan has none. it doesn't have 1 customer parking lot. you need to park on side streets which are a lil shady, and its a pain in the ass to find a spot.

they have this closed parking lot behind the store that i managed a peek at and had 3 350z's along with their other cars.

so we get into the showroom and wait around for like 10 minutes cause there were no sales rep's that felt like helping us, and finally one of the guys starts talking to my friends dad and we ask for a test drive.

"we are all sold out of 350z's. we only have 1 on the lot" which is a lie, "and thats the one out front" (there was one sitting on the street out front). "we dont usually offer test drives for it"

looooonnnnggggg pause

"well im not going to buy a car i cant test drive...."
"well people buy the car and dont complain because they like it so much....its the preformance of a porsche at half the cost...so people dont need to test it"

i but in and say "lets just go to the infiniti dealer, they like being honest" and we walked out

That is crap, I would have said lot more than that. Nissan dealers are some of the worst dealers ever, that is a lot of the reason why I bought a used CL instead of a brand new 3.5 Altima

kinda like this article:

http://slate.msn.com/id/2075323/

Blog King Instapundit has already written about our joint, ill-fated attempt to comparison drive a new Nissan 350Z against its much-ballyhooed sister vehicle, the Infiniti G35 Coupe. He's even got a highly embarrassing photo. Suffice it to say that the Nissan salespeople in Knoxville, Tenn., wouldn't let us move the "Z" -- they wanted to deliver a virginal car to the buyer who'd ordered it. The neighboring Infiniti dealer was far friendlier, letting us drive off in a G35 Coupe by ourselves. (The Infiniti, while gorgeous, seemed a bit insubstantial for a $30,000 car.)

the nissian dealer here in Manchester CT wanted to "run a credit check" before I could test drive a 350Z ast December - I walked out and drove over to Infiniti where they had 1 of the first G35 coupes in the area and the salesrep literally begged me to take it for a spin........ended up with the CL-S.

Go figure...I guess there is something called "market segmentation"

okay here's my story...we go to the local hi volume nissan dealer in the city of industry to look at the Z for my GF. we ask to test drive the car and the dealer said no...they gave us the line that people were just buying the car....cuz they know what they want. So i said fine...lets leave.

We drive 20min away to a smaller volume dealer...and my GF and I are there for 5 MINUTES outside looking at the 350Z. The manager came outside and introduced himself and said..."why dont you and your GF take the car out for a test drive?" I was in SHOCK...you mean i get to drive the car without NO dealer supervision? In 5min he calls a salesperson and copies my license. Next thing ya know i was handed the keys to an enthusaiast model with navi. OMG...that car was TIGHT...the gearbox was sweet and effortless. It was so cool driving that car with my GF...she was just giggling and laughing. I returned the car 30 min later =) Next thing we know we put a deposit down on the car =) but my GF backed out and got CL instead =(....

Now here's my exp with an acura dealer...i say isnt there auto tranny problems with the Type S trannys? he says "all the problems have been fixed!" hmmm i believed him...now i want to kick his ass

"Nissan Motor Corporation has no control over the independent dealerships".

Same old shit, different day. Headquarters customer service for almost any company is just for show. They don't do jack. You gotta duke it out with the dealership if you have any problems. Of course, in this case, laugh in their faces and walk out.

The G35 coupe is a BEAUTIFUL car. He should get that over a Maxima.

paper your like me bro i was going to buy an altima and they gave me a good price and stuff and when it came to signing the paperwork right before they raise the interest rate, they said i was putting down $7000 when i only said $4000 and they were forcing me to buy the car right away without me even getting the correct interest rate he was like just take the car and come back monday and we will give you the exact interest rate i think they were on crack!!! so i went for a used 03 CLS better than POS nissan!
