sexy although they look like forgestars...
I like the BBS CI-R but I'm not willing to pay $3K for wheels.
I just need a set that won't crack or bend...that don't look like ass.

That sucks about your wheels! Do you think the powder coating made the forged wheel weaker? I know there is debate whether it does or not.

I don't want to need new wheels now, Joe...
but with how my life is going right now, I can't really afford down time and fucking cracked wheels.

Adam, I considered that...I'm not sure but I think keeping the oem set powdercoated as is with the crack and michelin as a backup is a good move.
Then just buy a set of 20's and be done...
I kinda want to stick with 19's but don't want to regret it later.

I'd go with 20's if you decide to go aftermarket. I think your car will look great with the right set of wheels.

Whatever you do, don't order from the same place as me. It's been 9 weeks since I paid for my wheels and they haven't even shipped yet. I've been calling/sending emails and getting vague answers or no reply at all. I'm ready to put them on blast on social media.

thanks Adam...sorry to hear that, man.
I plan to buy the most unauthentic wheels possible.

They never returned my phone call from last week nor did they reply back to my email earlier this week. I just sent them a message on Facebook and if they can't give me a response on there, I'm canceling my order. My car is due for new tires and I've had a set sitting at my house for the past ten weeks.

Damn J sorry to see you got a cracked wheel. That definitely sucks they looked so good on the car. Can't you just start with trying to get it welded?

LMAO...you asses.

Jason might be right...
worth a weld if it'll hold out...throw the conti's on there since I'm very due for rear tires anyway and the front michelin are all seasons.

if welding is 100 bucks plus 100 for tpms and mounting the contis
I'll go that route...
I found a rear wheel that needs refinish for 140 on ebay...need to wait the auction out...might just have that powdered to match and swap over with new tpms.
better than dropping 2K right now...I don't need to if I don't have to. Especially since I LOVE the oem wheels.

I wanted some XO verona like Steven...but not sure the spokes are substantial enough for such a big heavy looking car.
Then there are a few others I've considered.

If it wasn't a forged wheel I wouldn't be for welding as much but I really think it might be all you need. I don't think it should cost you more than $100 to have it repaired. At least not including having it repowder coated.

But he loves the OEM wheels. I have to agree with him. I really like them and with the spacers wheels have moved a bit back on my list with this car.

How do you think you keep getting cracked wheels?

Do you think there's an inherent weakness in the design or something else?

originally...discovered my front wheel would not hold air. It was an old crack that previous owner must have welded...weld then cracked.
bought the craiglist front wheel and had all of them powdercoated.

spent about $700 in all...

now, rear wheel developed a crack...
makes me scared to bother repairing it...but right now I don't think dropping $2000 on wheels is a great idea.

Either J is doing too many burnouts which makes me thinkI shouldn't do any cause I can't afford to have a cracked wheel right now or maybe he is hitting pot holes at WOT

Really weird that two of your original OEM's had cracks, do you know where the crack is? Hopefully it's not near a spoke.

It would concern me too and make me wonder if it will happen to the other two.. As you previously mentioned, if possible have it repaired and when the time is right get a set of aftermarket wheels.

J do you have a copy of your alignment results after lowering you could post? My front seems way off still after alignment. The only thing they could get correct was the toe. Also after alignment I rub in the back too over almost every single bump in the road. I guess they pulled out more camber than I wanted. Going to get the inner edge rolled instead of adding camber though cause I don't want to help tire wear at all.

"Unicorn piss"" LOL

So the front and rear were cracked in the same spot.. By any chance were they both on the same side, thinking maybe the previous owner hit a pothole or something and did the damage at the same time..

Hi Jason, no sir...he didn't give them to me but I recall I was -1.5 front camber and -1 rear.
I'm not certain but I'm doubting they always ended up on the same side...
I might have a line on a set of aftermarket...
