okay...@johnny...yakima support got back to me and said the other rack is the same shit...but they said you can turn it around, and kinda a funny sarcastic don't worry about the bike facing the wrong way...a lot of people do that.
Dennis...
I honestly was really happy you liked it!
I got one better...
also, I need to figure this out but if it's the yakima or thule mount that fits the wagon, then the racks...that's like $800 in parts right there
Soooo...I might just make this yakima work...
we'll see...it doesn't look and feel really bulky although it's robust enough for the big bikes.

This is what I am refering to. The T channel in the middle of the bars. You can remove the ends and remove the rubber insert. Then a lot of things that come with things you mount to the bars come with blocks that slide into this channel so you can bolt things down to the bars.
That Wagon right there is one of my all time favorites. I think he has the bike racks on backwords based on the pictures but still managed to put the bikes on forward with that type of mount.
A little more digging and that is not mounted backwards at all so I wouldn't try it. It is the Thule Sidearm 594XT and it appears it is designed to sit further forward on the rack from the start. I think it should work perfectly for the wagon so you might have to suck up the price if you want to be able to put the hatch up. I think it would be worth it honestly.
well, I put the heaviest bike I own that I can take the baby on onto the rack...
I made it till the end of the block before realizing I'm not feeling very secure with how much it was wobbling...front bar has some bounce to it and it wobbles...now what happens at 80 mph when the clamps are all composite plastic.
I think I'm going to be sending this one back...might even remove the rails, although it can be versatile to have that.

It's a little top heavy but yeah, time to return it and get the Thule one
