in my head, that's literally how it looks right now.
Maybe I should just stop being a bitchass and accept that I have to cruise in 4th on the highway and get terrible gas mileage in my 5th fucking car that I literally never have to use to commute.

Ideally...I'd snag some 265/70/17 milestar patagonia m/t and toss them on current wheels...
or get some old school cragar soft 8 (dick reference?) 15's with some of those same tires with 31x10.5x15...
I read K02 are just pricer but not better. Especially for not noisier for a dedicated mud tire.

Ouch.

Gas is $1.49 at some places down here. Lowest I've seen since like 2002, I guess... Gas didn't concern me much back then.

What does the Burbon average?

My Accord averages about 25 mpg on regular and the RDX gets about 20 mpg on premium.

What were y'all seeing on the Ody... 22 mpg?

Whenever I'd get in the ody it was at 17...she's getting around 14 in the suburban.
She claims to not have a lead foot, but there's no way she's getting that bad without accelerating fast.

back in HS there were .99 cent days for 87 octane...

I think 87 was around 1.09 when I was in HS, the Merc was a diesel so I didn't pay much attention to gas prices.
We did have an 87 Burban, with a 42 gal tank, even at low $1.xx9/gal prices, it wasn't cheap to fill.

This, stop being a little bitch and enjoy driving it.

I was heavily considering the Patagonia M/T's but was swayed by potential for noise from a MT tire. A lot of people say it's pretty similar to a KO2 so who knows. It is ~$100 a tire cheaper though so there's that. Just be aware that the MT tires are heavier than the AT tires. I think the Patagonia tires were, for a 35, about 10-15lbs heavier per tire than the KO2. I think the 31's will be a similar gap in weight.

Also, can we get a thread title change? rockstar143 didn't want to jeepbro but couldn't sell - jeep wrangler TJ

LOL. The lowest I remember, as a kid, was $.17.
This was while the old man worked at a gas station, to keep the fam fed, while the IAM was on strike against EAL at MIA.
IIRC'ly, it was at 826 and 42nd Ave.
Those were the days.

@zeta I bet you it was a FINA...that old man on 37th ave was known for selling Zima to 5 year olds

@SamDoe1 I could have sold if I dropped the price a bit but I loved working on my Dad's Cherokee so much and the Wangler is arguably cooler and paid off
so I made the call to postpone sale. So far replaced some rings to the compressor and got the AC working and did syncromesh back in the tranny...

I'm just going to put the black wheels back on as soon as I replace a stud I stripped yesterday

I appreciate the info on the weight difference of the patagonia...15 pounds is a LOT, holy fuck.

Okay...well, a set of black locking lug nuts has been ordered so I only have to worry about 1 Key (current set is beat up and a combo of 2 keys and ugly regular painted black ones

AND most importantly...a 26 tooth speed gear has been ordered so my odometer is at least correct.
I wish previous person hadn't gone 33's...apparently I'm pushing the limits of what the 3.07 gear in my dana 35 can handle...

31 would have been perfect.

So are you still rolling on the 33's or did you switch over to the 31's?

After realizing I'm being a little bitch...
I decided to rock the 31's...
I had the entire setup listed at $800 bucks but now
I realize that the MT's are $250 each x 5
and the Nitto Terra Grappler G2 I have are $190 x 5...
That would cost me a lot out of pocket to replicate.

I decided to have a newfound appreciation for them.

That little black thing on the back doors is a flip down step that bolts in the stock hinge location.

I will admit that it is pretty slick.

Well, it's Houston... So the most likely use it'll get is when they stall out trying to drive through a flooded intersection. That step would be helpful as far opening the front door, flipping the step down, and climbing onto the roof whilst keeping one's shoes dry.

Naw bro...
I love the Jeep...but at the time the deal was sell Jeep and Ody for the Burban...
now that the financial dust of the deal has settled and I've had time to mull it over...
I'm not inclined to relist it just yet.

Well, @Aman , I'm waiting!
It's certainly not gonna play with itself!!!

Only mod for the day is a set of new locking lugs...23 of them...20 for the Jeep 3 for the spare which is great because now I can literally use
1 8mm allen and 19mm lock for all the wheels.

Can't wait for the speed sensor gear to arrive...not really knowing how fast I'm going at highway speeds is annoying as hell.

If I get another GM it'll be another older Yukon/Burban or SS or V.

A few minor upgrades to the Jeep @SamDoe1 to add insult to injury I dickscovered yesterday that not only
is the 6 lug adapter for the spare a 6 lug, the thread pitch is different on the adapter AND the spare isn't holding air.
I actually removed it from the Jeep...in a way I like the no spare look.

where we're going, we don't need roads
Got my new locking lug nuts thrown on...nothing special but clean and new and black...I considered painting the tips green
but sometimes too much matchy matchy looks like shit.

Also...stumbled on this little gem...$25 bucks and now my speedo is correct Well, for the weak ass 3.07 gear
they don't make a small enough tooth gear but 27 teeth is close enough and will be good if I drop to 32 or 31 anyway...
either way at 70 I'm within a mile per hour or two of accurate.

on the H2, genuinely one of the worst SUVs I've driven. Really just a Tahoe on a copier at 125% & drives worse.

Better than the Indian. Has a slightly larger [taller] front tire. Speed sensor is run off the front wheel. Found out the speedo reads about 15% low. Thought I was doing just over 70 on the highway, was actually just over 80

@00TL-P3.2 look on the bright side, when you get pulled over and give the puppy dog eyes and say "but occifer, i didn't realize I was speeding"...
you won't be lying. That SHOULD help you sleep at night!

and funny you mention the bike...
when I tried replacing my bezel for aftermarket...I put the needle back in wrong and it was WAY off...so I had to dial it in but to gauge correct speed
I literally had to drive with waze on with the phone tucked in my crotch region and compare to the speedo...pull over, adjust a little...go for another run

I've considered a sturdy handlebar mount [Ram x-Grip or similar] for the phone, to run waze.
Especially since the bulb for the speedo no worky. Socket isn't getting power & I'm in no hurry to pull the tank{s} to try to trace wiring to the issue.
