All kinds of fail going on here, OP and reese , really hope you learn something and don't fuck it up with a repeat.

Either way this story turned out, dead or alive would be laughed at for doing such a stupid act.

Years ago, a friend of mine bought a brand new '01 Prelude. It was his dream car, saved the cash for a huge down payment, paid it off, still to this day he babies it, not even 50k on the clock. NEVER lets anyone, including me who he has known his whole life, drive it. EVER. If he knows he is going out to drink, car stays home and he cabs/trains it. Once we went out, he got drunk, thought he was cool to drive me and my wife at the time home. Ya ok. Soon as he clicked the unlock button, I had to jump in the car and slide into the driver's seat where we argued for a good half hour.

I don't care who you are, what kinda car you drive, you don't drive drunk, or buzzed, or tipsy, or whatever. Imagine waking up the next day hearing you killed someone, or a baby, or a kid, or fuck, someone you know.

You were a tool, your "friends" were bigger tools. I am sure you (Reese) were right next to him doing "120", thinking you were cool and tough with your cars. Luckily no one was hurt. Your license should be taken away for a looooong time, even permanently based on how your car looks.

In closing, you and all involved are morons and don't deserve the "privilege" of driving a car.

because coilovers are a 1 piece stiff suspension so when you hit that bump in the road your car doesn't bounce up and cause you to lose control im not saying they would have prevented it but you can hit a turn way harder with coilovers so fuck u....most of you people responding don't know shit about cars anyway no reason to get into a back and forth on the internet have a nice day don't kill nobody

And this proves you dont know shit about cars either Coilovers are not a 1 piece stiff suspension any more than a Koni shock with H&R springs on them. They arent any stiffer. You spout off telling any one to fuck off again you will have a vacation.

I hope for your sake that you didn't tell a Mod to F off...

As far as the OP goes, doing 120 and crashing, you are very lucky to be alive. Take this as a second chance and be smart about it from now on. Hopefully at least one member reading this thread will not drink and drive after seeing the pictures.

A member asked here why drunk people would be going faster than driving carefully, the only thing I can really say is that I guess it's like the FOG affect, when the driver has nothing to really gauge his speed with like signs or lines on the road during fog, they tend to speed up. Being inebriated to the point of blanking out, I wouldn't be surprised if his vision at the time was severely impaired to the point of seeing everything as a blur.

The glow sticks are going to last longer than the posters.

Is the OP named Shawn, by any chance?

No but you said to get coilover to do that, they wouldnt have helped one bit!

Care to wager titles on that? I am. Id bet my car that the only thing you would see is my taillights getting smaller and smaller (since you insulted my car first) in your pos ugly overpriced RL.

I'm in no way excusing the OP for what he's done, but for people to say they wished he died or are name calling is f*cked up. But it's the internet... so yeah.

Yeah, he chose to drive after drinking alcohol, but choices can be mistakes, and his choice to drive (actually to go 100mph + after drinking is more the issue) was a poor choice. But, I guarantee you 90% of the people chiming in on this thread have or will drive after drinking alcohol at some point in their life. It's pretty much a statistic, not my personal belief.

And for those of you who are under 21 years old, I remember when I was 17 years old and I was on the "I'm never going to do this or that boat", but you eventually get into situations where you make bad decisions. Some learn from it, some don't and some don't make it out alive. Kudos for saying you'll never do it, but be aware you'll eventually be out on your own where you'll be faced with tough decisions and pressure from your friends to do things you normally wouldn't do. Hopefully you'll stick to your guns, but most likely you'll regret a bad decision at some point in your life.

I'm personally glad the OP lived, didn't kill his friend or anyone else so that we can all learn something from his poor decision he chose to share with us. Whether it was a good decision on his part to put it online, we should all just take a step back and think to ourselves what if I was in his shoes right now.

I used to go out drinking with my friends when i was 18-20. I was always the driver, but we cruised at 20-40 mph but were still intoxicated. It is a miracle that i never hurt anyone in the process. The only dent i made was when i was turning around on a back country road and i tapped the brush covered guardrail with my bumper.

I am the dd whenever we go out. I cringe at these things were drunks kill others and not themselves.

You are very lucky to be alive and i am lucky to have made it out of my teens alive.

OP- I hope you and reese have both learned from this. Your lucky to be alive and not to injure your friend in the car or any other innocent bystander. Reese- if the OP killed himself and/or the friend inside the car, you would probably regret it for the rest of your life.

I'd like to see those, because all the numbers I've seen put it at less than 20%. Some of us use common sense.

And I don't take back what I said.
