A dirty car is a driven car, and a driven car is a loved car.

Why create more attention than what it is...

Plus, how often do you see those exotic cars parked at normal parking garage when there is valet service.

If I owe a car like that, I will just valet all the time. fuck the regular parking.

You are just creating more problem then what it is...

When I had my tsx, I used park on the corner spot or away from crowed area. It worked. When I sold it, I had zero door ding.

I don't want to hijack this thread. We had this discussion before... not worth getting into again.

No, you wouldn't. You would find any way to make sure no one but you and those you deem essential to you drove your supercar, to avoid the potential for abuse. My CTS-V has been valeted only once since I've owned it.

You are right... I probably won't.

Since valet topic came up... I just want to ask you something.

How often do you go out with your CTS-V to nice places?

I don't know how it works in your area, but where I live is MUST. There are no street parking what so ever... only way to park is using valet service.

I dislike doing it, but there is no option in places that I go to.

This was in a parking lot off Walnut and something. Couldn't believe how dirty it was.

Valets & supercars do not mix, esp. 6-speeds. Too many young kids who get the job, can barely drive manuals & end up finding ways to abuse the trannys.

You ask a fair question. In Cleveland, there are not that many places that demand valet. Generally, I will call ahead to ask about parking options. If there is a self-park nearby, I avail myself of that instead. The one time I used a valet was at a high-class hotel in Toronto, last year. I tipped the valet extra to park it someplace safe, and he did.

In a world-class metro like the GTO or NYC or SoCal, I understand that there are fewer options and so I do the best I can....still ask ahead, bribe as necessary, and above all, TAKE PICTURES of the car with the valet in them before you release it. And yes, I am that anal about my car.

Ohh i see, yea i see where you are going as it will cause more attention. I guess its better to park farther away and next to nicer cars haha

I'm with Tony, you go out to a nice hotel by the beach you have no choice but valet. I just give the valet a 10 spot and park it myself in front. Never had a problem.

Most of the time I ask them if I can park it myself. If they decline my request then I ask them to park where I can see my car.

That's most of the time, but some places... fuck! I just hope and pray that they don't do anything stupid to my car.

Thank god that I don't own any import no more or super car.

Yeah a couple fine dining restaurants won't let me park the 911 but I just stand and watch the valet park it and give them a good tip up front. In those rare cases, the valet usually says it's some liability policy with their company or whatever. If I'm going some place more sketchy like Chinatown, I'll take the Element instead and not have to worry about it. The way I look at it, I bought the 911 to drive it so what's the point in leaving it in the garage because I'm afraid of valet?!?! If I'm taking GF out to a nice steak dinner on Friday night I most certainly would rather be in the 911 than the Element.

exactly.

At least you have a "beater" to drive to those sketchy places, but I only got what I got so it sucks. I fucking hate when I can go to certain places because of valet crap.

I just drive an average person's car, but some of you guys aren't... I hate to be you guys sometimes.

Tell her it's to show your customers that you can find the perfect car for them, no matter how rare!! The Type72D you have is a testament to that fact

Saw an F car today, which is not a common sight here in Indy. It was a yellow 360 Modena Spider. Did I take a pic? Of course not, why would I think to do such a thing.

Looks like a tough sale after the summer. Might have to hold onto it longer so you dont lose money on it

Just do it Its better to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission you should know that you are married. Plus if it requires a couple of nights on the couch it would be damn worth it in my opinion just saying.

So gorgeous.

I'm not sure that I would want someone else to clean it for me though. I would do it myself so I know it's done correctly.

There's ordinances against washing cars in front of our homes here. There's a few coin op places, but a majority are mobile detailers or wash places.
