Got a small update installed today, weather has been shit lately. I sold my Rav4 blindspot mirrors and ran my stock mirrors for a month or so until the new ones came in. These are convex mirrors that show your blindspot on the whole mirror, they're also tinted to prevent glare which is one of my biggest pet peaves when driving at night. They also have built in heaters (which I have stock) and built in turn signals in the mirrors. Here's a comparison of the stock mirrors to the new concave mirrors .Here's the stock ones
Here's the new concave mirror
Here you can better see the concave compared to stock.
Had to fish the wires for the turn signals through to tap off the stock turn signal wires. The heater wires were the stock connection.
And here's the new extra turn signal (they're very bright, just competing with my white LED garage lighting.
I'm excited to see how these work in traffic and on the highway. But overall I like them so far better than the Rav4 Mirrors which were a lot shorter than the stock mirrors

Also, after 2 months of waiting, my retrofit project can finally get back on track! Ordered 11/27, I waited a LONG time for this box
I scrapped the MLED 1.0's with the chipflip mod that I had installed and went with the brand new 2.0's, they're supposed to be a lot better performing and brighter.
Having spent a lot of time taking the 1.0's apart I was very impressed with the craftmanship and improvements that they made with the redesign
I also am doing something different with the highbeams, assuming they will fit

Nice, Chris. That was the first mod I REdid on my 2nd S2000...convex tinted blue on sides and spoon stick on convex blue on rearview to match.
And I can justify the cost because safety!
You have a hairy bod?

Yeah, sadly we've hit the dog days of winter and it's snowing outside so not much going on modwise right now. I waited 2 months for the new projectors so I can continue my retro finally. I have a few interior things planned though

Looking forward to progress.
I don't think aircraft landing lights will fit in the T4R housings....and would make a melty mess of everything. (My dad had a pair in his Datsun B210, behind a metal grille, his buddy tried the same, and melted the plastic grille )

Ack - i just had a '19 T4R loaner over the weekend... i was really excited until i drove it 60 miles home... maybe it was the hype, but i felt disappointed... i wasn't trying to set any land speed records but the truck felt like a total pig to me... did they completely discontinue the v8? the 4L felt way underpowered for its size and weight and needed at least a supercharger...

not sure if it was engine power or gearing to me... i have the 4.7L in my GX with a 5AT and i felt like the T4R of it's size needs more power... IIRC the limited with leather and all the bells and whistles start to approach $50k... to me it just felt like something was missing at that price point... getting off the line took a lot more effort (prob the lack of torque) and the MPGs were worse than what i experienced in my GX... for the 150 miles i drove the T4R, (75% hwy) i only averaged like 16.7 MPG...

Yep, they did away with the V8 for the 5th gen, 10-20s are only v6, it's very disappointing. The truck livened up a lot after the intake and exhaust so I don't have to deal with that bs anymore, but I know what you're saying. I also get way shittier gas mileage on my 17 V6 than my 4th gens, it's frustrating
