all you had to do was say nice pics and he would have liked it and kept it moving.

the blue does look good.
I honestly understand the shit people give me...I go mudding with the Jeep and I can only let it sit dirty for like 3 days before I'm pressure washing and cleaning it.
I know it's meant to get dirty but it doesn't have to STAY dirty.

Yeah. But swirls from washing it more aggressively to remove the mud because it's stuck..

Is that rack made for a T4R with a sunroof? Or that's just the way it comes?

Do those holes in the front portion allow for you to add on a basket? Can you without nailing your garage door opener?
It looks great, man...kayak holder for sure...
love it.

Definitely needs a basket on top that thing but he wouldn't make it in the garage. I think just the rack barely clears his door opening.

I thought the same thing. A basket would look great but overhead clearance is tight already. Also, curious about the open area?

Yes, this particular one is made with the sunroof cutout. That's what I ordered, there is another one that doesn't have a sunroof. They also offer a sunroof insert that drops in and bolts down if you need it

There is a basket you can add, the hole cutout is for the sunroof. The holes allow you to also mount light bars and other accessories

I have no need for a basket and yes it wouldn't clear my garage. I just started parking this thing in the garage for the first time in 2 years. I will bolt stuff to the rack, but no baskets.

Honestly didn't notice you had the sunroof. Paint is so reflective I missed that it was glass there
A testament to your recent work.

Got some work done on the retrofit last night. Got the MLED projectors out and started taking them apart. Would be nice if Morimoto used 1 freaking screw head for all it's parts instead of like 4 different ones, but whatever

I opened them up only to surprise myself and find that I actually did the chip flip mod back in November when I bought these things and forgot that I did it.

Chip Flip Mod

So then it was time to take the whole things apart

Took some work to figure out how I was going to mount the demon eyes that I bought for these projectors, I had already attempted this twice. But thankfully I found some brackets that lined up and were able to make it work. Here's me lining up the brackets.

And here's the projectors all reassembled with the 4Runner brackets and nylon washers, with the demon eyes installed.

And here's the finished product all ready to bolt into the headlight housings

The future Mrs. Ack came home from dinner and wanted to hang out so this was as much progress as I got last night, but now comes the really fun stuff

Cuz, you told her to feed it to you. Duh.

Of course, next post will be you fused permanently to your truck or something. But, hey...at least you don't have to go far to work on it.

Looks great!

I have been going a little crazy on the Tundra in the last month. Did 2018-20 Sequoia headlights, ARB winch bull bar & winch and ranch hand rear bumper (ARB/winch go on Wednesday)

I won't befoul your thread with my pics but if it's ok, I can provide a link.

First time having the truck in the rain since the ceramic coatings, I was mesmerized watching the water beading and sliding off the paint on the drive to work, had to snap a pic of the hood. Tiny beads but awesome how the lift up off the paint.

Headlights are looking great. Can't wait to see the finished project.

Definitely crazy how water beads off that stuff.

Question for the n00b: Is the ceramic application that much better than traditional wax or sealant?

And it takes roughly the same amount of time/effort to apply onto the vehicle surface?

The application process for this is much more tedious and time consuming than applying a wax
