Well with winter coming, I decided not to put the new headlights or bumper on since the roads get pretty shitty where I live. I did swap my stock steering wheel for a Lexus black burlwood with black perforated leather wheel, and also swapped my steering wheel controls from the stock orange to match the rest of my LED swap. I'm very happy with the new wheel and the added grip from the perf leather, and it just feels lighter and like I'm driving a nicer truck haha. Here's a few pics.

Steering wheel controls matching the gauges finally

Outside in the sunlight, the wheel looks like black wood unless the sun shines on it to show the burlwood

New wheel looks good.

Be honest you didn't want to swap the headlights and the bumper cause it would take to much time. You know it will snow and the roads will get crappy next year too

No, I just don't want to put my spiffy new bumper and headlights on and then slide into something, better safe than sorry

Big weekend for the 4Runner, had all the rotors replaced with R1 concepts rotors, installed all new front caliper hardware, pins and clips, and all new ceramic pads. Also had the oil changed (Mobil 1 synthetic), u-joints lubed, tires rotated and rebalanced, and threw a bottle of gumout in the gas tank. Sucker drives like a brand new truck

Found an old pic of my 03 Sport, don't think I ever posted it, it's from when my buddy got his bike impounded and needed me to help him tow it home from the impound lot. Miss that truck sometimes

Nothing too exciting lately, changed the cabin filter, got an alignment, and a tire rotation. Been using 4W High a lot lately in the snow. :driving:

And you know, while it does get old after awhile (living in permafrost country for moi), fresh snow (and you peeps are getting heaps of it out east) is very fun to drive in so long as you're smart and careful.

With good set of snow rubbers, I always enjoy going at it on a road with a fresh dump of snow on it.

OK, need opinions, I have the new bumper all ready to go, but I have 2 options to mount an LED light bar, I can either leave the mesh grille out as pictured here and do a flush mount 30" LED bar in the space, further up in line with the lip of the bumper

Or I can move the grille and do more of a stealth approach like this. Let me know your guys thoughts.

To me it would depend on how well the bar fits the opening. If it fit really clean and filled like 98% of the opening then I wouldn't bother with the grill. It it was a good bit smaller than the opening then I would put it behind it.

If it fits like this then do it without the grill. Otherwise behind the grill. Yes I know this is another year but best picture I could find to illustrate what I was talking about.
