Trying to find a super loud one that is portable for adult kickball league. Not worried about how big it is just need it to be very loud. My current Riva Turbo X gets pretty loud but I am after something more powerful cause you can't hear it much in the outfield.

Been looking at the ION Road Warrior, Aiwa Exos-9, and the Soundboks 2 but not very seriously at the last one cause it is stupid expensive but would accomplish the goal of playing music to an entire baseball field size space.

Added a couple more things to the panels, can you tell I'm bored and ready for spring? I added my camping knife to the driver's side panel, not sure if it will stay there, just trying to make use of the open space. I'm wondering if it will rattle or cause the extinguisher to rattle, I have a multi-tool in the small pocket on the front. Have to drive it to find out. You can also see that the molle tool pouch is sagging, so I'll have to find a better way to hang that, perhaps with some velcro straps.

I also started adding my recovery gear, first piece was a collapsible shovel. Since it didn't have molle connections I used some velcro straps. May move it around but it fits good for now.

More stuff that still needs added, but it's cold and snowing outside, so I couldn't stay outside for too long

Speaking from personal experience, the 100+ dollar vg10 Machete helps to cut yourself when you are cutting 99 cent sore 1/8th inch nylon rope to hold the pop up canopy to the buckets full of sand. Even though you had a smaller knife, scissors, and teeth that would have all done the job just as well.

LOL...
if you don't want the outside getting rusty in the winter, there's no way you take this thing mudding, right?
Would you need a shovel?
Probably just for the huge pile of shit that Jason and I give you on a daily basis!
On the plus side...this build thread gets more activity than Chris' reversible reusable condoms!

Yes, it's mostly to shovel Jason's unending pile of shit, but what's a truck good for if you don't take it off road

And yes I do off-road my truck occasionally, just not that often these days, I'm not a rock crawler and don't pretend to be. I also don't go camping as much as I did when I had my first 4Runner, but like I've stated many times it's my DD and mainly a highway crawler and that's fine with me. With that said, I have a fire extinguisher even though I hope I never have to use it, I carry a gun even though I hope I never have to use it. I don't plan to run into many blazing fires driving to and from work, but you never know if you might run into an emergency and I have run into circumstances where I could have used one in the past. The same with the first aid kit, I've always had one in my vehicles and have made use of them plenty of times, never hurts to have stuff like that handy just in case. You would hope to never have a need for recovery gear, but you never know. I've had friends that slid off the road in ice and needed to be pulled out by a truck so it doesn't hurt to have basic recovery tools even if I don't plan to use them. I've always had a small emergency road side kit in my trucks with some sort of cheap recovery strap, I'm just stepping up my game with a few nicer pieces of equipment. The nice thing about these panels is that I can store and organize equipment like this and not give up room in the main trunk or cabin area which I don't like doing.

I have most of that shit too except no fire extinguisher or shovel. I love the false floor in the wagon it let me store all that stuff nice and neatly.

So Friday when I got home from work I was able to get my new tail lights installed. I've been looking for over a year trying to decide what was the best way to black out the chrome in the tail lights that didn't flow with the tinted mirror signals and the blacked out theme. The tail lights are plastic welded so I would have literally had to cut the whole housing apart which I wasn't trying to do. Here's the before, the chrome has always bothered me since I started blacking things out.

The ugly chrome

I finally found a company that makes blacked out tail lights, they were a bit pricey but to me it adds a nice and subtle touch that was missing. Here's the driver's side installed

Flows SO Much better, it was overcast so the lighting isn't great, but what a difference!

Here's a side by side of the old and new, hard to see with the lighting though

And here's both installed. I tested the turn sigs, blinkers and reverse lights and everything works great. I just swapped my LED bulbs into the housings as I installed them.

Here's the passenger side

And a shot with the smoked third brake light on the wing, everything matches much better now.

And a bit farther back shot.

Not a big change, but a nice subtle mod that makes all the difference to me.

I wish I had a storage space like that, I would love to remove the third row seats and build a nice storage cubby under there, but the racks do nicely allowing me to mount all my emergency gear neatly and keeping it all out of the way.

Very nice tails...subtle is right, took me a lot of reading and looking to see the difference. I'm sure you can sell the chrome ones straight away though.

Like I said the lighting was bad when I was taking pics, but I figured the before and afters would show what's blacked out

They did. just wasn't obvious because the style is almost identical, is all.
Looks much cleaner and in theme sans chrome.
