^Perfect size for anything I'd need. I'm seriously wanting something smaller than the 2G TL I've had for the last 4.5 years.

Conversely, the wife wants bigger. 2 car seats in a Civic isn't fun.

If I'm going to have a wagon, it has to be able to haul my stuff including skis, golf bags, bikes and/or luggage all at once. The other day I put a 50 gallon water heater (in the box) i the car and got it home. That is why I'd never buy an A3, CLA, or a 328 wagon, they're too small.

True, the utility value of the compact wagons isn't there like an E or 5er.
I do think the CLA SB looks a good bit better than the CLA sedan, though.

I don't think the CLA is terrible & it drives pretty well from what I could tell in a quickie test drive a few months ago.
That said, I saw a new C300 yesterday much nicer than the CLA.

Y'know, I thought I wanted a current generation 5 series but all the crap I've read about the handling of the car makes me believe I wouldn't buy one even if I could. I think I'll keep the 530xi T till the wheels fall off of it and buy either a 640i xDrive or A7 tdi (leaning towards 640)

I really wish they would bring a regular A6 Avant over to the States. That would be awesome.

Americans are too dumb to shake off the SUV sugar high and buy wagons. Wagons are, for the time being, dead in America.

That's one reason I'm keeping my V wagon. Rare due to people not liking wagons, stylish, fast, handles great, and room to haul stuff. How much more can you ask for in a vehicle?

That is pretty yummy. I agree with that article... the body of the wagon seems to suit the proportions of that car so much better than the sedan...

I'd love to get a CTS-V wagon down the road. It's a shame Americans are so hard up for their SUV's...

Not to mention it will probably appreciate more than my 401k. I had a mcoupe s54. Only "new car" that I bought, held for a few years, and made a nice profit. Should have bought a 1M and held on it, given current prices as well.

Your CTS-V is reason enough to go OH to check it out

As unrealible as the Allroad and the S4Avante have been that my sister owns, I wouldn't touch an Audi for long term

Ok. That makes sense. The newer Audis are better. There was just something about that old Allroad that was never right.

Just did a quick roadtrip from LA to Monterey to LA via PCH last weekend. We took my wife's A4 Avant covering almost 800 miles. We had to drive through some of the shittiest rain storm on PCH. The car didn't flinch at all, it took it like a champ. Love our Avant.

We averaged around 25mpg for the entire trip which isn't bad at all considering we had car full of stuff and three dogs.

Just to add.. the low end tq is what makes this car so nice to drive. So easy to get on it and pass cars on the road.

@PCH close to Monterey
