An early 525 touring can be had for under $10k. They weigh around 3700lbs stock. The LS engine is surprisingly light, plus with other lightening here and there Im sure I can get it down to about 3400lbs. With 505hp (more since Ill be doing exhaust, intake and headers). Its something that Ive been thinking about for a few months now

I actually didnt like that idea when you mention it but i ran across the thread with 540i and ls2 swapped in with sc... but this was sedan... the engine bayis from that car... wagon 540i is just a regular car but i do agree this would be fucking great project... i still think its hasn't been done yet...

On the other hand i was wondering how quick your response is gonna be this time

I seen you posting on m5boards, you are right, a 540 wagon with a LS swap would be perfect.

Depending on when they are released (and price/options), I will have a wagon later this year or early next.

The TSX Wagon would be #1 on my list to replace my '00 TL if it were available with a stick.

The MK7 Sportwagen is a really interesting option. Especially with the diesel.

As a TSX wagon owner of 2 years, if I had to pick one, I'd say the V6. The 5AT isn't that bad of a transmission (although the 6AT in the MDX would have been an even better option), I think where the wagon hurts is in the power department, especially when it weighs 3600 lbs. It handles really well in stock form, which is what drew me to it, and I can live with a FWD car with a decent AT, but it is a pig from a stop. Once you get up past 4500 rpms it moves just fine and it's a nice even power delivery, it just takes a long time to get up there.

I have a slow car, it has less torque then the TSX and has a crappy power band. Its a 6MT. I definitely understand the difference in weight between your car and mine, but if the choice were v6 + auto or 4cyl + manual, the 4cyl and manual would win every time. Its the only way I can keep my sanity while driving around, and it helps me feel more connected to the car. I don't like cars taking control of things, I'm driving, let me choose.

I love them, too. I would rock that especially if it had a 6MT. I almost bought one just over a year ago, in Vortex Blue.

Thanks for trying, but a lowered SUV ≠ a wagon.

Not even close. Plus, it just doesn't look right. I'm going to have to do a quick image search to see if we can find some good wagon pics. This page needs some saving from the March 2013 posts...

I have 4 or 5 RS4 Avants in Forza Horizon. One R8 V10 swapped, one twin-turbo R8 V10 swapped, one twin turbo V8, and two N/A. I'm a sick puppy
