I just built a white A6, pretty car for sure. I paid off my CX9 yesterday so I'll be cruising to the ski hills for a few more years in it.

strike at the right time and I'll bet you can score one sooner rather than later.

That Ford wagon is not bad at all. ST it, and let me throw money at them because I want it.

^ Fusion Sport Wagon. 2.7TT EcoBoost + AWD
Apart from the mileage. IIRC, the Fusion Sport got worse MPG than my F150, with the same engine

After more than 40 years and 782,000 miles, some cars are long past their expiration date. That’s not the case for one 1979 Mercedes-Benz 300TD with a 3.0-liter turbodiesel for sale on Bring a Trailer by the appropriately-named Dieselgirl in Arizona.
For a tank like this with the legendary OM617 five-cylinder engine, that’s barely broken in. Knowing the history of this model, the wagon will top a million miles or more easily. If you figure the Mercedes-Benz has been driven roughly 51 miles a day for 42 years, as one commenter with quick math skills noted, it has seen regular commutes for a very long time or some incredible cross-country road trips. The current seller has owned it since 2006 and added 150,000 miles to the clock, averaging closer to 10,000 miles per year.

Mighty clean for just shy of 800k miles.
My W123 240D had >300k on it when it got totaled & it still was running great, albeit very slowly.
My W126 300SD also had over 300k when we sold it.

I have always wondered, do they only "seem" slow because the driver is not stepping on it? or are they actually fucking slow? cuz i feel bad every time i see one trying to merge onto the freeway. Talk about struggle.

My 240D is the slowest car I've ever driven. I think the 0-60 is closer to 20 seconds than 10. Could probably measure with a calendar
The 300SD was better, 0.6l more displacement & a turbo. Mine had a wastegate leak, so it made little-to-no boost. We didn't know this until we sold it.

I was just about to say...
Stop kidding yourself.
I do like everything Hyundai and Kia or Genesis are doing tho... just when it comes to my own $$... probably still several years away...

I still have yet to see any in a Genesis, Hyundai, or Kia...It's interesting. I don't know anyone (and 90% of my friends are ) owns a Korean car or desires to (i.e. talks/hope of owning one).

I know a few owns Kia and Hyundai. considering how many SUVs they sell, it is not the same as before.
But Genesis is a different story. I think only the GV80 is selling well, they need to bring the GV60 or 70 or whatever the smaller one is called and flood the market with it.
I would not be surprised that most of the Americans dont even know what Genesis is as of 5/13/2021.

Would still have the AMG #fanboi
Definitely something to be said for AWD though, huge difference in launch.

i would take the V10 in the M5 for sounding purpose only with the body of the AMG.
Not saying the V8 in the AMG doesnt sound good... but that F1 sound from that V10 at 8k rpm

Yeah, but everything else that comes with the E60
Not to say the contemporary Cuck/AMG wagons aren't all that much better from a maintenance standpoint. Something about the S/C V8 I imagine they've gotten pretty 'cheap' by now {not that the words Cheap + AMG ever go together).

I would imagine if you put that high reving V10 with F1 sound from the M5 into a proper built sports car, it would be good... ...Think LFA

Would take a full redesign of the car & a significant cost increase.
May as well find a 1LR-GUE instead.

I don't care how much better a MBZ is vs. a BMW, I'd never own one. It's a level I would never want to demonstrate as I firmly believe I'm just a white collar guy with a deep blue collar background just wouldn't fit, feel or enjoy a MBZ
