It's funny, if I were back in Germany I would want the RS6/E63 AMG because they would have a dual purpose. Maybe a trailer hitch too (for pulling a small trailer for trips to the lumber/home store). But the petrol prices there are a bit rough (~$5.50/gallon). This is why a diesel makes sense there (~$! less a gallon, with much better MPG).
Here in the USA? The RS4/C63AMG would be great, because they would be used for fun, then I'd get a pick-em-up truck for the hard work.

The B5 crowd generally despises the B6 platform in a lot of ways (I particularly don't like the B6 either ... ), but the wagons look pretty damn good in comparison to the sedans.
Also .. the 4.2 is a nightmare when chains are toast but, when the work is done ...it probably makes for an solid / reliable daily.
I'm talking nonsense, 2.7T swap all of the things.
That is a beautiful car. Despite how deserved the B6's reliability reputation may be, I think it's still a bit underrated. V8/AWD/manual/wagon. Come on...
Per oonowindoo's post, I have to wonder here: If BMW actually made the snout a touch lower so that it flows with the downward angle of the headlights I think the front would not be so terrible? The other challenge is the kidney bean quality of the BMW front...Audi (and Mercedes) has nothing splitting it in half as it's just one piece. The fact it is 2 separate shapes for BMW in this case is a flaw to the look.
I want to like it but man, that's just super ugly.
You guys can hate on me when if i get one of these ..... it is either gonna be the X3M or the M3Comp..,my build has similar MSRP..... we will see in a few months and see if BMW would give better rate and discount on the M3/M4... i might get it..
If they still want MSRP for it by June, they can go suck a d...

You will be indistinguishable from all the other moms
Just put on that tinted robot visor. Bonus points if you haven't had a haircut in half a year
haha i have been cutting my own hair with the best fade since High School... that was how all the AZNs do it back in the days...
So hair cut was never an issue for me..
I dont think that will be the case tho... all the moms all drive RX350... you rarely see anyone drive X3... but that is why i am also considering M3... i will be VERY distinguishable from everyone..
No touring... dont think that will be coming to the US....
we will see what happens in June... it all depends on the program and pricing at that time... I looked at the comparable cars from Benz and Audi... their programs still suck balls.
So chances are i might be forced to stick with BMW solely based on pricing...
I know.. first world problem

Okay...so, you'd consider an M3/M4 with that nose?
