Hey BizarroRS:
Okay, Honestly, I'm okay with my set up but the rears would actually be PERFECT if they were a +35. You have some room to play on the back as long as you roll/trim screw tab and move it back a little, then put a lessening trim on the rear bumper as it descents toward the ground. I can take a picture and show you what I did.
I ran the 5MM rear and still had room for more, if I wanted...but not version 2 spacer, only 1 and I wasn't looking to go extended studs to do a 10. I had badly balanced tires but wasn't sure if it was the spacer, so I pulled it anyway.
Fronts, you have to be a lot more cautious...if you want to slam, don't plan to be aggressive. That said, with my height...and +45 17 x 9"
Key is sticking with a 17" in my opinion...the car was built for that and an 18", even with a 40 series instead of 45 adds just enough bulk to catch the front fender and baconator it. I like low, so I stick with 17's.
Low as I am...with these 17x9 +45 and a 215/45 front tire...I've only touched liner on a dip on a turn.
Don't be afraid of the 9" wide setups...or even 8/9" setups...keep rear offset above 30 with no more than a 245MM width and front +45 or so with a thin tire and you'll be golden.
That said, since I'm not going to run a spacer on the rear, I decided to get the ingall's rear adjustable ball joint to bring the camber up a degree...same approach I had on the TL for getting flush and more contact patch since bottom of tire is just past fender from above (looking down).
I hope that makes sense.
Actually, took my wheels off the S and down to the my old Acura dealership with the best and most frequently calibrated balancing machine. Got them squared away! They were all way off and the rear tire had some chopping but it should be fine with the the flipping of the tires.

17×8 +45 17x9 +45 I believe is the proven flush setup for the s2k. This will require fender mods depending on how low you are. Personally I opted to keep my fenders stock and run 15/17 mm spacers with stock wheels.

If you got $, try to get the 08+ ones. They look bigger than 17".
06-07 ones are bitch to clean.

Those brembos will look better in the s2k than the TL.

i think 245 on a 9 is fine...but 215 on a 9... is a little too much
Unless you are going SUper conservative like 60+ offset. You are going to roll your fenders regardless.

My buddy at Karcepts just started making parts for S2000s. Spherical upper shock mounts and an ingenious adjustable front sway bar that doesn't require you to change the length of your endlinks between settings. Can be adjusted in 2 minutes without jacking the car up and with one wrench instead of the usual two.

Just curious why you think it's a bit much?
Curbing? I mean, the contact patch is the same...not like i'm running a stretch on an overly aggressive offset that requires me to major neg camber. I know that a stretch on a wheel isn't for everyone, but I'm always curious to hear the reasoning from someone that probably hasn't run it.
Tommy, nice...I'll have to check it out at home, those links are broken on my work computer.
Dennis,
I don't blame you, man...just keep in mind that there's a huge difference between being very low and running too tall a tire/too aggressive a wheel and damaging your fenders and a mild roll and liner trim. I promise you, it can be done very carefully and will not be a visible flaw in the car.
Rears a billion percent...the fronts do require a little more finesse.

I like V1's and V2's... but as mentioned, they are either curbed up, or the sellers generally don't wanna go through the process to ship wheels.
keeping my eye open every day.

J, I like my current drop. I'm like 25 ftg and everyone is like go lower. Like I said, I think I'm growing up and eliminating the wheel gap is quite satisfactory. I saw my car rolling the other day and there was no wheel gap when in motion. My TL on the other hand

I bought some AP2 V1s
they needed a lot of cleanup work around the edges because somehow people manage to curb all 4 wheels.
after they sat at my powdercoating shop for over a month because he was dreading the repair work and sandblasting.. I sold them out of frustration..
looking to buy some that don't need to be fixed... just want "good" condition wheels. its a pain to find them though.

I have owned 6 cars, and around 20 sets of wheels.
I have never curbed a wheel.. knock on wood and all that jazz.. but I simply just don't get close to curbs.. problem solved! lol

Did you swap out the red lugs for silver? Because I like the silver much better.
Now that stem cap... I know you like contrast but why take the focus away from the wheels?!
Honestly, it looks like it needs braces to bring the tire closer to the edge of the wheel lip.

braces it is...she's an expensive kid!
seriously though...I agree, the orange lugs were nice, but very large (necessary for my extended lugs) but I felt like they actually visually made the wheels look more bulky and less awesome. I have another option, a project mu replica in another color that I'm looking forward to rocking...
I bought those valve stem caps as a gag to throw on my bicycle...$8 for a set so I figured it'd be funny to slap them on in the interim.
RS, have you ever taken a dremel/grinder to curbing? I did that...and then sanded lightly and added this plastic metal bondo product that dries like metal, sanded flush...painted with primer then touch up and it hid the imperfections well!

three of those wheels had curb around the entirety of the lip. add in a couple of chips/small chunks taken out, and I was over them before they ever got started.
I shouldn't have bought them, I just got impatient and went for the first cheap set I could find and said I would refinish/powder them.
I was wrong.
just hunting for nice ones now.

I'm guessing your name is Matt?
Jeez, dude, really, wouldn't be cheaper to find someone willing to work and fix? You're giving them away!
http://batonrouge.craigslist.org/pts/4587046617.html
Also, found a set on ebay listed separately.
Email seller taeusedautoparts and ask for Tony...tell him Jeremy sent you.
They constantly get wrecked S2000's in and will charge you actual freight on a set of 4.

They were the people I bought my soft top assembly from...and they were good about follow up and shipping me the missing motors and one missing weatherstripping...I also bought my used speakers from them, one of which was blown and the guy Tony has been awesome to me and looking for another one that isn't blown at bench testing.
Another option, would be a set of 05 RSX-S wheels...I have a feeling they would look damn sexy on the S2000...just need to either bore out, or run an adapter on the front since you'd likely need to space them out a bit anyway.

a little stretch is ok like 245 on 9 because it is not noticeable. but when you have 215 on a 9 or i have seen some extreme cases when they put 215 on a 10 and the wheels are silver so you can REALLY see the rim and the tire.
then it becomes more like you are fitting something on to your car that obviously does not fit.
in addition, you are putting a lot more unnecessary stress on the sidewall of the tires to make it fit "stretching". On drift cars, that is fine since they are going to replace the tires after 1 day anyways but on a DD, i don't know. It just does not sound safe to me.
Same concept can apply to those who put 275 on a 7.5" width.
