The stock exhaust is not loud at all. Are you sure your exhaust is stock?

It's the resonance issue I was talking about. It's getting looked at now.

I'll know this evening what the culprit is.

It's missing a right rear exhaust hanger over the muffler.

That'll do it!

I can fit 5 characters on this one:

"NOTRQ"
"TPDWN"

6 characters on this one:

"NO TRQ"
"AP2FTW"

Or just the plain tag with up to 7 characters

Thanks for sharing. Nice scenery as your car stands out from it. I wish I could drive mine but it's now too cold.....will wash it and put it away for the winter in the next week or so.

I desperately need to upgrade the stereo in this car. I know people have said it's weak so I wasn't expecting much but wow. It's awful.

Any suggestions? I'm thinking just a new receiver and components up front to start. I haven't touched aftermarket car audio in 10 years (other than the Basslink in my CL-S)

Headunits have come a long long way in those 10 years, you can include bluetooth and an iPod connection for $200 if you shop around.

Who needs a radio when you have the exhaust note to listen to?

^ Try going on a road trip and report back. Even the best exhaust note can get boring after a few hours of driving, can't it?

As far as plate suggestions, I've seen some good ones here in ON:

"HIBYE" F430 Spider

"BWAAAAAH" My VTEC goes BWAAAAH, on an old Civic hatch

Out of your choices, I like IHAZS2K and ICANFIT.

What about "GOTS2K?"

I'll stop now.

Indeed, the stereo has immense weak-fu. Let us know what you come up with, mrsteve. I added XM to my stock head but that's it. Eventually I will add the headrest speakers as well. Like you, I've not done much with aftermarket audio in my cars....only in my case, forever.

The search function over at S2Ki is absolutely horrible.

Seems we're pretty spoiled over here.

Hey guys, my brother and I have found a black, hardtop, S2K, with rims and exhaust, and comes with all the stock parts, but it has a touch over 90,000 miles. Any problems with it? Or is it the usual Honda reliability? It's going for 15k negotiable.

The hardtop alone is worth $2,500 if it's in good shape; really the only "mod" that adds value to the car.

What year is it?

x3 on year. $15k with 90k miles seems a bit much to me though.

$15k for ANY year S2000 with 90k miles is too much even with a hardtop.

A year will help us give you more specific advice.

90k miles on an S2000 is no problem. On S2KI is a thread devoted to the over 100k mile club. It's just like any other Honda--if you care for it, it will take care of you.

Here is the ad for it. It actually has more mods than I put, I had forgotten all of them.

Considering the mods and assuming it's been dealer maintained all its life,

After checking for signs of abuse though. The owner seems to know what he's talking about (ish), but any performance modded car probably wasn't babied all its life, especially with that much mileage.

If you're serious, I'd offer $14k and see if they bite.

Its too expensive in my opinion. But I have a hard time buying modded cars.

He says its a Mugen "style" hardtop, but doesnt say who makes it. Id also question why he needed to replace the gears and synchros.
