The Official Honda S2000 Thread

That is the place to look! Lots of good deals there.
And @ drdamian...$15k WITH rims and a SC is an OK deal, not a fabulous deal when AP2s without SCs are going for not much more than that nowadays.
i got some pictures. let me know what you think. like i said, he wants 15 but could probably get lower. i didn't get a pic of the sideskirts or the rims. they are giovannis that i will switch out. it dons't have a suspension nor a big brake hit. thats the only minus. but it does have a complete veilside kit. comptech supercharger with after cooler . i don't have any pictures of the trunk either.

not bad for 15k, but If you are planning on buying that car then you should definitely dump those kit, and get oem bumpers.
Definitely not feeling veliside kit at all. Too much stuff going on...

i agree with you 100%. if i get the car, i definetely will not be keeping the veilside body kit. it is a little to much for me. but at least it is a good quality kit. im sure i can get rid of it pretty easily. maybe even trade even up for an AP2 kit. the motor work is what i am impressed with and its got low miles. the car has never been rained on. its got a lot of pros, with a few cons.
Let me take a different tack.
Looking at the pictures, $15k is a fabulous deal for all the mods you get with that car.
If you don't want the body kit or the wheels, another option is to keep looking, though.

As with 99.99% of Veilside kits, that one is horrifyingly disgusting. Glad you'd be ditching it... Someone went waaaaaaaaaay overboard with the whole stainless and blue urethane wire loom though. Jesus
Maybe its just me, but I'd rather buy a stock/nearly stock car and either do all the work myself or take it to people I trust to do every single thing. If he has paperwork and receipts from reputable shops then its fine, but I wouldn't trust some dude working out of his mom's garage (funny cause that's what I'm doing) no matter how skilled her is. If something goes wrong, there's no one to take it to. If you mod it and you messed up.... well, that's a learning experience. I guess that's why modified cars are usually a bargain when it comes time to sell them.

the person that has this car took meticulous care of it. he has every receipt for all the work and the multiple dynos it has had. he has most of the stock parts. but he dosn't have the OEm bumpers or the steering wheel. He dosn't really want to get rid of the car but his wife just had a kid and he is forbidden from driving it. I am good friends with his friend that also has an S2K. his background is that he bought a lot of property in florida and had them as rental properties. he made a ton of money and pumped it into this car. he spared no expensive for quality or craftmanship. he wanted this to be a true show car. he has all the trophies he has ever won, i told him he could keep those. i will keep everyone posted. i need to convince my wife that our house is big enough and we don't need another bigger house and I can get the car.
he said it was around 300hp with a 9lb pully.. he was saying that he needs to add a voltage regulator because the cars volts drop when the car is off. if the volts drop to low then it looses the settings and needs to be reflashed . he said he called a rep from AEM (his fuel management) and they told him to do that. i was on s2ki and i coudn't find anything on it. if i wanted to buy a new computer to correct it, it would cost a good amount of money. he said the regulator was a cheaper alternative. does anyone have any knowledge of this.?

omg that thing has a hudge turbo you would be saving alot for having it already modded for you
I say if you have the money go for it but I bet it will get you into trouble with it

with the hardtop that's a good price
i should know, i've been trying to trade my tsx for an s2k for almost 3 weeks now

I agree. Too risky.
It's a 2000 with 95k miles on it, with a blower. Was it tracked? How long has the SC been on it? Does the blower leak?
This car should not be purchased without a personal inspection, or mechanical check for compression leak. If you're in a different part of the country from the seller, move on to the next S. If you're in the same part of the country, look at it and make sure it's kosher.
And why isn't this in the official S2000 thread?

Supercharged S2k, very cool. CT is out of business now aren't they? On one hand I'd be wary of a 100k mi car with aftermarket blower, however if it is in good running condition, that think looks like it would be fun to drive. This would make a good weekend car, maybe not so much a dd.

Go do it then. It always helps if you know the owner or someone close to them personally.
