Same. I feel guilty driving around with the top up.

Only time I do top up is for long freeway stints at high speed for long periods (1+ hour) of time. After a while, the deafening sound of semis and other cars going by gets to be too much. Other than that, top always down.

Curious, what are your limits for the top down? What's too cold/too hot? In my head "top down unless it's raining" sounds great, but we've been skirting 100* here in Houston, plus humidity...

Are you asking me?

If so, I'd say 90F+ and I'd go top up. On the flip side, top down until below 40F might even go lower depending on conditions and how I'm feeling.

90F when moving and driving away from the sun isn't so bad. Flip all that around and it really sucks.

Also, no dust since it's too cold for that.

Being a drop-top had no influence in me wanting an s2000. That said, once I got it, that first top down drive was pretty exhilarating!

It doesn't hurt my feelings a bit to drive top up.

I really don't understand the hardtop craze. I like to be top-down at the push of a button, the prices are insane (even with reps, which many seem to be a fitment pita), and I don't think they look all that great.

I can understand both viewpoints. I personally LOVE driving top down, but if I was getting more serious about a track car then it's a better choice to go hardtop for aero and weight reasons. Some tend to prefer the look of hardtop as well, don't really care about driving top down, etc... I kinda wouldn't mind having one eventually, but it's not at the top of my list of priorities.

I absolutely love the look of the OEM hardtop...it's just not for me. I can't justify the cost nor do I want to be stuck with it mounted when the weather turns around at the end of the day.

I love my OEM hard top. It hasn't been off for a year or so.

When I had the soft top, I drove potentially top down in any weather above 70-75 degrees. I really liked top down on hot nights. Yesterday was a hot night with a full moon...and that would have been the perfect weather to cruise out to Oberweis for a single scoop chocolate chip cookie dough in a chocolate dipped waffle cone with sprinkles, player.

But...I love driving the car with a hard top. And I love looking at it with the hard top. "My gosh gurl", I say to my car, whilst walking up on it.

I like when the top is off too, especially if she has a rack.

This was the weather here yesterday vs 6 months ago (feels like temps, not actual air temps). I really sometimes question why I live here...

Everyone's losing their minds about this "heat". They wouldn't be if the "news" wasn't shouting about !!!HOW HOT AND DANGEROUS THIS WEATHER IS!!!!

I ride about a 20-21 mile loop as a quick after-work ride....sometimes to/from the gym. It wasn't crazy hot out yesterday. But no other cyclists in sight. They all must have been glued to their TVs and weather apps in amazement of 90 degree weather in July :gasp:.

****While I'll admit that I've never felt that the temperature has ever been *too hot* even when I lived in Dubai....and I sweat little enough to need about a bottle of water per 20 miles of bike riding in 115 degree heat (tried and tested)....it wasn't as hot as the "weather warnings" implied. That shit does heat up their ratings, however.

Real enthusiasts don't use A/C. Why would you want to rob your car of power?

I personally don't mind a good sweat, even driving home yesterday in 100 degree feels-like heat with sweat dripping down my back and soaking my slacks and button-down shirt. Feels good, man. Feels like I'm alive.

Fuck A/C, I only use it if the gf is in the car and requests it or if it's raining out and I have no choice.

^ That sounds awful. You were lucky enough to be born in a first world country, live like it. I hate being sweaty and gross, it feels terrible. Love me some AC.

I used to think like that also

My 1992 Civic Si didn't even have AC.. Windows down all the way. Then when I got my Accord after that, I kept the same mind set. Need MOAR POWAH!!!
