Awesome! Congrats!
I know that feel thoroughly. It's inexplicable when it officially becomes yours. Kinda wish I could get that feeling back tbh.

Great find! Congratulations...you'll love it. Check out s2ki.com for as much info as you will ever need. Look up my build thread (same user name) for links to what you should do now type stuff specific to the car. Great info.

I am loving it! It's been a decade since I've had a 6 speed, and now I'm fortunate to have the best of both worlds. I'm on S2KI as well, my user name is -Homer- . I'm very lucky to have LHT Performance in my backyard so I had them replace all the fluids and the belt right after I got her. I also did the convertible top fix with the Modifry straps. I'll check your build thread to see if I'm missing anything. Did you do the banjo bolt upgrade? It's crazy how much more pronounced vtec crossover is in the S compared to the TL.

Congrats again on the purchase! She's gorgeous
My recommendation for first mod is a new set of wheels - Maybe throw a set of OEM AP2 wheels on there?

Thanks man! I actually prefer the look of AP1 wheels, plus they are lighter weight. I wanted to put my Wedssport tc-105n on, but that will require a fender roll which I don't want to do. They are 18x8.5 et43 which are perfect for the TL, but I already have a set of tc-005 for the TL that I love. I think I'm going to sell the TC-105n and pick up some 17 inch rpf1.

Tyler, doesn't your mom have a set of a set of a set of wheels you could sell him?
TC105N was my other contender...but I didn't mind rolling fender, I'm not a beefy tire meet fender guy. So a roll wasn't a big deal.

You have an 04 so you already have the upgraded bolts. From what I've read, they were upgraded sometime mid model 2002. My car has a 1/02 build date so I'm not sure if I made the cutoff. The old bolts had 2 holes to squirt oil from and the new ones have 4 holes so they can move more oil. Some early S2000 suffered from oil starvation due to the 2 hole bolts not flowing enough. I want this car to out live me so I think I'm going to do it next oil change as PM. You have to remove the oil pan to replace the bolts.

Thanks for explaining!
I should have gone 06 for an easy tune solution
I did do the Billman GenX upgraded TCT though!

Wedsport SA90s and some 5zigen FN01R-Cs .
Tried selling them, no bites. I suppose I'm keeping them in my garage for a rainy day... who knows when I'll stumble upon some and make a full set

S2000 is just a perfect honda time capsule.
I love it. I will probably make love to it this weekend.
I also need a new top, and that's about it...
well, and have the headlight clear redone and weld up the high flow cat that cracked. I'll get to all that. Keeps me busy!

Congrats on the S 3gstealth! You'll soon wonder why you drive the TL anymore lol. Having the S and the responsiveness just increases my awareness of how much looser my TL is especially since when I bought her. Can't stand the amount of play on the TL steering now but the S is an absolute dream.
For those that are thinking "Holy shit! Buda just posted up." Yes I do try to read what is in the daily update emails but some days you guys message so much on this thread that I have to give up on keeping up to date. Love that you all are so active with S talk on here though.

I don't know what the banjo bolt thing is either. I did the straps like you and bought a couple pieces of OEM cover to patch a slit and reinforce the other side as a preventative measure.

My best friend's brother-in-law (coinicidentally my former boss from a few years back) has this gem up for sale if anyone's interested. Not sure how the market is for LBP's anymore, but I think it's a gorgeous color.

I finally got to drive the car for the first time last night and this morning since the tuning on the supercharger was done a few weeks ago (it was getting some body work done).
It just keeps putting a smile nonstop. All I need to do now is make some small suspension adjustments, then get it aligned. Then I'm driving it as much as I can the rest of the season.

How close is SD to LA, @thoiboi?
Somebody pick it up. I'm mad I don't have the funds to do so myself. I know the owner and can vouch without hesitating that this is a solid car. He's had roughly 6 or 7 MK4 Supras amongst other notable cars. His stable's current highlights are his G-Wagon, '98 Quicksilver MK4 (bone stock, 6MT, TT), S550 and this AP2.

Holy shit that's a clean LBP...

Front left fender bolt seems to have paint missing and rust which leads to believe something was removed/replaced despite the VIN sticker still there.. Any unreported accidents or repainting David??

$20k is cheap for a late model AP2 in LBP even with high miles. Someone buy it.
