Yeah s2ki is pretty slow. I spend most of my time in the FI section and that's never really overly active. Other than that I usually go to the Official Thread Section, but it's the same guys posting pics of their RPF1 setups etc.

JDM farts are lighter than USDM farts - more stability & added weight reduction

I may be fat but I'm slow

S2KI is too full of very stubborn middle aged guys to be a fun place anymore.
Then again...any middle aged man, by definition, is stubborn AF. I'm probably slowly getting to that level. The other day, I refused to lose the argument that the world was flat. So I kicked the guy in the chest.
The topics that will light a FIRE are based on fluids. S2ki people get excited about oil threads. There's quite a few other stale ass regurgitated topics that go on there.
*My theory* is that the site has gotten so stale that they are using moderators who create fictitious names and post threads just to generate discussion. This is evidenced by the sheer number of "what clutch tho?" Or "what oil tho?" Threads that are posted. People jump on these threads like hyenas on an elephant anus. Then the OP never returns...but the discussion goes on for 18 pages. People insist that they scientifically KNOW things based on "I've been doing this for 86 years with 0 problems. This is why my wife left me."
Not to say it isn't an informative site if you're going through archived info. There's just nothing new going on...and that's not anyone's fault.
AZ is pretty stale too. Except for GDD threads like this one. I'm sure S2ki has active GDD threads. The car's tech has been discussed to death. The newest S2000 is 7 years old. The car has been around for 16 years without much change. So...obviously, there's not much new to discuss.
When a new product comes out, though....WATCH OUT. You're about to get hit in the face with it daily.

^Yeah...I miss how active it used to be circa ~2007. I still have made several friends through the site, and I still browse/post there a fair bit, but it's nothing like it used to be.
All the dogma there can get pretty damn annoying too. It's like there is only 1 "right" way to do anything, and they'll all crucify you for any viewpoint that doesn't align with theirs.

I have owned a S2000 for 10 years now.
I know there's things that work. And am happy to help out.
I also know that there are a bunch of dumbasses that can finally afford S2000's that just insist on doing shit ass backwards because "IV HAD 0 PROBLEMS BRO".
But...they own their car. Not me. I try to answer a question in the way it is asked...but maybe throw in some advice.
Example:
Q: "I WNA SLM MY CAR BRO. WANT 0 PROBLEMS THO YOLO LMK"
My typical answer: "Buy a coilover that adjusts body length. You'll still have to compromise on your ride quality and stuff on your suspension wont last as long."
S2ki typical answer:
You cant track your car slammed. Buy Bilsteins or Ohlins and have it corner balanced. Make sure you use synthetic oil in your engine. I don't track my car, but corner balancing it every time I do a used oil analysis keeps it balanced. Better safe than sorry. All my friends are coming to make fun of you. I don't drive my car except on sunny days while wearing a tuxedo"
OP never returns in either case.

Yeah agree 100%.
I haven't owned mine for 10 years quite yet (only 7 so far), but I feel you with people having vastly different goals for their cars. Best you can do is help people do whatever they want to do with their property, the best way it can be done. Berating folks for wanting their car a certain way does nothing but fragment the community as a whole.

You're just jealous you don't have a sticker of a blow dryer on the back of your car, or a promising career as a hair stylist

FASTER than a S2000?!!!!!
Surely, you must be jesting.
However, since I'm (bi?) curious....have yall taken your cars drag racing at a track/strip? What'd you run?
I ran a 14.01 in my AP1 with an intake. No launch because S2000 differential...and I had just gotten the car. 2.825 60' (told you. No launch).
I remember all these numbers off the top of my head. Because I am smarter than any possible other human.
Surely, you must be jesting.

I thought that was a given.

Meh. S2000's are solid 13 sec cars all day....and the elevation around here is 600something feet.
The launch is the tricky part. I've since launched mine successfully for funsies. But you usually either overshoot or bog it. Its not like launching an EVO. And the car isn't naturally fast like a Camaro or Vette where the driver can be lazy but still go fast. You gotta wring it out.
