I never noticed how bad the color matching is of that front lip. J, you shoulda tried getting a 2-for-1 when you sent the kinetic blue in

and I don't mean to dump on your car. Looks friggin' awesome!

I know the CR is the highly coveted and highly priced version, but again, seeing Js car helps reinforce my love for the non-CR over the CR. Personally, given the option, I'd take the non-CR.

It's hard to get any plastic accessory color matched, especially as it ages. I feel especially bad for those who have White Pearl paint (3G TLs come to mind)

My trunk spoiler has an apparent difference

Thanks Roly...
H&R Street Performance...bought off RickyFlowers...from S2KI...I originally bought the wheels off him too...he's big into the track meets down here and one of the more active members over there.

Thanks T...I appreciate it. I do love staring at her.

No kidding...came that way, and my trunk spoiler is even MORE off...but I've gotten used to it...plus, my buddy refused to try and match the Rio. Haha...I could probably push him eventually, but it doesn't bother me much at all, believe it or not.

I sometimes consider lowering my car more...but I can't bring myself to do it...even with +35 8" front I haven't heard a fender rub yet and I love it. So I won't...looks low rolling and doesn't sacrifice the ride or fenders by being slammed. I'm getting old.

huh? of course you can get them color matched. You just have to pay

coming from the factory, yes, the color matching is brutal.

I didn't say it wasn't possible

Of course it's more expensive, my OEM replica trunk spoiler is as close it's going to get for $90 shipped 2000 miles away

Appreciate that J!

I know it's all in good fun because I bust my own balls for going back to stock

I do miss this look

Man, you straight up certifiably insane, playboy.

I will, however, admit that the look of the base model lip tickles all of my pickles. I sometimes think to order up a base model lip. But...I already bought a $600 CR lip. And spending another $400 on a lip would get me $1000 deep. There's only 1 type of lips I'd be willing to go that deep for.

Meh, the fact it has no closing soft top makes the CR undesirable for me. The amount of times I'd hit the track would not even be close to the amount of times I'd be driving to work and around town in an s2000.

Didn't the CR also have no stereo? That again sucks. I also prefer the leather seats over huge fabric ones. And I think the CR front lip and spoiler are kind of ugly, even if functional.

If I had a car as nothing but a dedicated track slut, I'd consider one. But if it is supposed to double up as a fun driver, I'd go with the standard s2000.

I haven't had my hardtop off in a year. It pops right off. But I'm just not entirely enticed. If I lived in a hot ass climate...then...yeah, I'd remove it every now and then.

I did have the car as a convertibld for 8 years though. And in that time, I did make use of the convertible. I guess I just grow into any environment. Similar to a frog.

CR's came with available AC and radio. Most people opted for that. The delete models are considered rare.

The aero is functional. But I agree that the base model looks more sleek.

For a car that NEVER hit the track, a base instead of a CR model is a no-brainer. Not to say you can't track a base model by any means.

Where at? They're saying like 1" or so if you're around Chicago. The snow line seems to break like...south of Milwaukee...maybe around Rockford.

But...its unpredictable. Like DMX said...Wednesday is far and hell is hot.

Back to the MTF discussion, I swapped to GM Synchromesh last week and absolutely love it. The Honda stuff seemed to break down much faster and my transmission felt notchy as hell over the last few weeks.

I'm in Minneapolis...not in the Chicago area.

I frankly don't trust anything the weatherperson says. It's mostly a crock of shit anyway.

Sold. Definitely doing the GMSM in a few weeks once it gets nicer out.

Also going to be MODDING in a few weeks so say goodbye to totally OEM!

Mods going on the Jeep.

Eh, it's not cut and dry.

I like the CR aero over the stock S2000. And I absolutely prefer AP2 (Stock) to AP1 (Stock).

I have debated buying a second AP2 bumper + OEM lip just to have on the back burner.

Buy 2 qts for the trans. It takes like 1.5ish.

0.8 is the differential capacity. In case you're buying diff fluid later.

Yessir.

Also, make sure you have a decent fluid pump too.

I bought the cheapest one and it broke half way through the job (wasn't able to maintain pressure) .. had to go back down to AutoZone and exchange it

Did the diff last fall so no need to do it again. Thanks for the heads up though.

A pump hose popped off on me once, spilling fluid on my head and embedding it in my scalp.

Without hesitation, I immediately and loudly sang out "JUSSS LET YO SOUULLLL GLOOOOWWWWW".

Goodass Jherri curl overall.
