Thanks man! I'm having so much fun shooting different cars! haha

Here's one. I'm editing all the other ones.

The owner did the A-Pillars, Top Center that connects the A-Pillars (what does this part called anyway?), Lower Door Panel, Rear section of Rocker panel.

There's still plumes of salt flying off the roads as cars drive on them. We need a bigass rain storm on like a 50 degree day. Then I can roll out on fools.

That's gorgeous, so dumb question, how does one have alacantra on the rocker? Is it just glued in place?

Likely, yes. I think that's the only of doing it.

While it looks nice.. it's ruining OEM parts!!

It's scientifically proven that people who drive 04s are less likely to take it in the butt.

Mine have 118k miles on them and are kinda scuffed anyways. And the little silver rectangle trim around the brushed 'S2000' logo is popping up from the glue anyways. Gotta do something with them!

Need to fix my SoS pillar too, what a waste of money. Think is warping like crazy.

Yeah, 3M Adhesive Spray. You can get it off with Acetone if anything. But nobody ever takes it off since people who want these panels really want these panels. haha

Yeah, the pocket was actually pretty useful for what it is. hahaha

This S2K's panels were scuffed and scratched a lot too. I've done 1996 Miata panels, it was all broken and crap but the fabric reinforced them. haha

but if hard plastic is beat up and scuffed, how long do you expect alcantera to last in those same locations? Me thinks it'll end up looking like a mess within 2 years.

Well, when I had my headliner replaced the guy told me that with the heat in a car, the over the counter adhesive would not hold up long term. Might want to look into getting an air compressor and industrial grade stuff, Jin. Unless that's what you meant.

What is purpose of Alcantara on rocker panel, bro? This for styling?

Edit: nevermind. I see where it goes. Is for styling.

Idk why that would get so beat up? You mofos entering and exiting the car like Seal Team 6 or something? Be more gentle. You oafs.

I have three different adhesives for the panels that I wrap, all industrial grade ones. The strongest will literally never come off. I'll be doing my headliner on my car next week since a lot of people have been asking me about it. We will see how it goes! Most of my panels in my BRZ have been there for almost 2 years, it's still looking like new without any lifting!

And the trick is to wrap around the edges and tuck everything in, so there's little to no chance of lifting over time!

Most of the panels are usually the ones that never get touched. That rocker panel section is the first one that might get touched, but the owner said he will be super careful since he knows now. haha He wanted that section wrapped, so I did it. If it's a mess within 2 years, just gotta redo it. That rocker panel section is only $100. Better than looking at the scuffed panels.

I don't think I have been particularly careful for my 10 years of ownership regarding the rocker covers. They look like they did 16 years ago when they first got snapped onto the car in Suzuka.

I doubt you'll need to worry much. Plastic isn't exactly resilient to scratches. I doubt the alcantara will get beat up in that spot.

The biggest thing to worry about is moisture and air permeation through the material. Lifting at the edges is one thing but lifting in the middle is definitely not an impossibility.

Highly doubt that will be an issue! Contact Cement does not come off. It just doesn't. haha

My own prototypes have been on my car for almost two years, it wasn't done properly back when I did them since I never thought about offering this service. All panels are all 100% intact.

It was 60F outside yesterday so the car came out of hibernation for a day of top down driving!

Then this morning it was snowing so very short lived. Was amazing in the end though.
