Weight loss seems to be most effective if you start to reduce the amount of simple carbs you eat. Slowly decrease them more and more as you go and find substitutes for breads and rice, etc. My lady is a foodie...but she also makes most things sans rice or bread. Lettuce wraps for meat. Or cauliflower "rice". Etc.

I also find that lifting weights is more effective than cardio. I'm not genetically built to gain weight. But if I need to lean out, I lift more weights.

I also don't drink beer or wine almost ever. Or soda. But I never really have. So that isn't hard for me.

I did have to start eating less sugar...which sucks. But that wasn't hard either. It sure beats being skinny with half sized love handles from eating MAD donuts, y0.

Yeah carbs and sugar go hand in hand. Essentially the same thing once it's broken down. My biggest issue is losing belly flat and I've noticed minimizing salt and sugar intake. I've also lowered carb intake and done mostly protein and veggies for every meal. Light dinners are a must too. Don't drink much either so it helps. I think core exercises have helped a lot personally..

Also WTF isn't this the s2000 thread not the weight loss thread? get that shit back into ramblings ....

Lol I said I was tryinna GAIN weight, player.

Just got back from vacation. Spent a lot of time at the (topless) beach. Everyone else there with a good looking chick was all beef caked out. Not that I wanna be beefcaked out. But mofos were probably looking at me and thinking that I just washed up on shore after somali pirating some cruise ship.

I want to be the captain now :'(

For y'all non-diabetus sporting mawfuckas... Carbs actually break down into sugar as your body digests them. So if you look at the nutrition facts on the box, you can essentially count the total carb content as sugar. The labels always show sugar as a subcategory of carbs, which I think is misleading.

So how about them s2000s? Thoi, you buy that one yet? What're you waiting for?!

Yes, in the steam room I do. Not where most can see me.

I'm that black creepy guy in the corner of the steam room, No shirt on and my hand in my pants.

Roland Bluntz - what would be your ideal weight?

I'm pretty short (5' 9"), but packing about 178 pounds (before I pewped)

I've been really getting into rock climbing the last few months (soon to start outdoor) and I'm almost wishing I weighed less.

Damn, this is embarassing AF. I'm 5'11. I'd like to be 170ish, ideally. Not sure I can pull off those type of gains in 2016 haha. I want to stay at/below 12-13% body fat.

To further derail:

Meh, everybody is different. - Honestly, I think I got lucky with my muscle memory & metabolism cause it hasn't slowed down at all (yet )

Over the last year and a half or so, I went into GF mode pretty hard and was not very active (damn heavy IT work & beer) .. I didn't gain or lose any weight regardless of how much I ate.

Last few months I've been exercising regularly, same weight ... but replaced any softness with muscle and things are really looking up. I'm excited to see where I'm at in the next couple of months

Yeah. My manic energy and voracious appetite point to a fast metabolism as well.

UPPER CUT! TIGER KICK! RUN UP AND DOWN THE HALL! SLIDE! SOMERSAULT! ROUND HOUSE! JUMP AS HIGH AS YOU CAN FOR 10 MINS!! Is my internal monologue all damn day.

This is my biggest issue right now. I was doing awesome for about two weeks and fell off the wagon. I love pop (soda for some of you) and beer too much though. Really want to cut it out and get back to it. I lost ~5lbs in two weeks by cutting down my sugar intake.

Yeah, WTF? You should be out looking for one instead of hanging out around here with all of us fat S2000 owners.

Sidenote, if anyone is interested I'm selling my BNIB Ballade Sports 00-05 70mm TB. I picked up a SoS one and went that route instead.

Was trying to get $100 shipped for it (they're ~$125 shipped from store)

Huh? I'd rather be in the ~6ft club but then I wouldn't fit so perfectly in my tiny sports car.

I was making reference to myself being 6'7" and not fitting in an s2k, hence why I have a miata, lol
