No, I have the most desirable S2000.

Dented rocker panel & worn seats, it's now a Special Edition

It's actually originally from Texas. He's the second owner of the car, and it has something like 28000miles on it. The original owner babied the shit out of it and my buddy is no different. There's literally only one flaw with the car- a 3 or 4" vertical crack in the windshield , right behind the rear view mirror (so you don't actually see it when driving). He doesn't want to replace it though because it's oem glass

I think he paid something stupid like $400 for the 4 piece oem floor mats. I guess they weren't available in North America or some shit, but he found someone in Ireland that shipped these to anywhere in the world. Straight from the IDM market

I think he paid 28k for the car 2 years ago. Plans on giving it to his daughter one day (in like 20 years).

As much as i love s2000, It would be hard for me to pay 28K for a 08 when i paid $29k for a brand new GPW in 05....

Oh boy, I was one of those guys too. Needed new mats - so why not $500 ones?

They're nice, but I never actually use them since they're so rare.

Yeah, but keep in mind I'm talking about Canadian dollars here, in Canada. I priced out a new s2 in 08, and it came to just shy of 60k here. It was optioned out, with the hard top, but still. Not cheap. I don't remember if that included taxes still. For some reason, out the door, the number 65k keeps coming to mind, but I might be wrong on that. It's been 7 years, lol.

A nice s2 still fetches 22-25k here, easily. A miled out, dirty girl is about 10-12k

Yup. Sorry, it wasn't 60-65k. It was 55-60k. That makes more sense. Optioned out the way I like though, not just a base car. The hard top alone was going for 4000-5000 here new, from the dealership.

Forgot to report back here...
if you guys want a little vroom vroom sound that isn't overbearing out the ass end of your car so you don't ONLY hear engine...

UK mod and that high flow cat are the perfect combination. I'm absolutely in love with how the exhaust sounds and I will not be looking any further for an exhaust. Helps that a good friend has access to a plasma cutter and a welding machine...he hooked it up. Too much rasp on test pipe...a little muted on oem cat...the 200 cell high flow cat sounds absolutely awesome now that's it's broken in. No smell, no rasp...just this throaty deep exhaust note. I'm in love.

I do! Actually made one that day, I think.

Also, decided to give the spoiler a shot...in some lighting the yellow isn't exactly a match...but fk it...it's painted, and removable. I actually love how it looks.

kinda cruising around, not too much WOT
It's heavenly...even got a compliment from an NSX guy...he said "whoah, thought you got an exhaust, sounds awesome"

fuuuck, I need to ramp up my search for a S2k now. TL sold last weekend so I'm officially in the market and looking to grab one soon. Two potentials at this point, one is local but his price is WAY too high and one is in Indiana.

Love the spoiler on that thing, and love Rio. I'm not sure I can rock a yellow car though. I need something more subtle.

I forgot about this...but after the RSX being orange...I always did think, I'd love to have a yellow car one day...so I'd have had all the loud colors in the rainbow. :gheyhug:

Is that Silverstone? I love moonrock, but I'm not sure it was made in AP2.

Thanks! I unfortunately haven't been able to drive it much yet. It's been raining like crazy here and the S2k needs new rear tires really bad. It's pretty much on slicks right now and that plus water = crash. So in the mean time I'm still chugging 12mpg in the Denali.

Thanks! I was super excited to find a steal on it. Needs new rear tires and a patch on the top but other than that it's in pretty good shape. Needs some PDR work (it's 11 years old after all) but interior is mint and mechanically it's perfect. Yes, silverstone. Not sure when moonrock started...or when it started selling in the US at least.

Absolutely awesome, Sam...39K is lowwwww...I'm sure you snagged a killer deal.
Try this stuff to patch...you can use an old laptop bag shoulder strap as support material from inside...it works great...use magnets to hold in place while it dries...or the support beams.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll order some and try it out. FWIW, the tear in my top is back by where the top meets the rear decklid so it'll be a challenge to get back there but it should be doable. Have you personally tried this stuff or just heard about it?

I need to get some gorilla tape over the bars that cause the more typical tears in the top before it actually happens.

Yup, got a killer deal. Paid $15k for this one. Funny thing is that I could fix the issues and make a profit on it. But I won't. Because I like it and want to save it from ricers.

Fkkk...that's a killer deal. Especially at that mileage!
I have used it personally...if you can reach in there and put a backing piece in, then kinda split the tear and apply it all around from outside, then just lay a brick or something with some weight on it while it dries...it's VERY strong stuff.

you paid $15k for s2000 with 39k miles?

If the car has cleaning title, you probably got the deal of the year.

Awesome, I'll order some up then. Thanks for the heads up. And yes, the PO had already made an offer on another car and wanted to let this one go. He wanted $17k for it but I stonewalled him into $15k. Oh well, worked out well for me!

I thought you were supposed to apply the glue stuff on the inside?

Yes, clean title. Few dents around it but otherwise great condition. Mint interior and mechanically flawless.

I can take a pic of the dash if you don't believe me.

Well, they claim it'll form a seam on it's own, without a backing...but I like to seal from the inside.
What I meant was to put the support behind on the inside, but to avoid making a mess and getting the glue on the back window and all the way around...to kinda place it then apply the glue from the outside by opening the slit and spreading it around, then put something on it to dry.

Does that make sense?
