I guess I'm just looking for something new and different. I'm trying to work with a guy on a MS6. It's in the early stages, but it might happen. Otherwise I seriously might go back and see about the Volvo. I did like the car.

I painted the other front caliper again, and damn it looks good. Feels smooth too, with the four coats of clearcoat I put on it.

You know, I've never really considered VWs before because I've always been scared of the reliablity issues of them, but lately I've read a bunch about the GTIs and GLIs and they seem to be pretty damn reliable compared to previous gens. I really like the DSG tranny too, so that would even be an option. Hell I almost (well did) purchase a Volvo, so I guess reliability is subjective at this point.

I'm still in contact with a guy in Mass. that has an '07 Mazdaspeed6 for sale. We've been trying to work something out and it seems like it might happen, just not as fast as I had hoped. It is 2,700 miles away after all. The dynamics of coordinating everything is a giant PITA, but if it can work, the MS6 is a car that seems to fit all my requirements.

Holy fug. Hope you have insurance, man.

I had a smaller nick right in front of my eyes back in January. After a week of highway driving, it was still able to be drilled out and filled.

In other news:

Missed it. But still,

200,000 kms. Or 125,000 miles in Yankee terms. Still a milestone!

Truly could not be more satisfied with this car. Still needs a valve adjustment, but that doesn't stop it from running like a top, just as well as when I bought it.

It even pulled on a GMC Jimmy earlier tonight. And the growl it made under WOT made me

And it still gets compliments from friends and family.

I was driving my Accord around today and noticed my electronics acting weird. My dashboard was turning on and off...the engine sounded like it was dying

I had no idea what was wrong then my car just died. First thing that popped into my head was the alternator.

I rolled and parked the car. It would not start at all. As I inspected the engine bay I was praying it was not the alternator. Luckily for me it was something minor...the ground cable that was hooked unto the battery ripped out. The cable itself was too short (and the battery moved quite a bit)

As a temporary fix, I uninstalled my 4 gauge ground cable from my amplifier and hooked up the terminal to it. I went to AutoZone and got the proper cable/terminals. Now I need to buy a new battery tie down

Yep, definitely considered a 3rd Gen TL, but finding a 6 speed is as about as easy as tracking Osama Bin Laden down. Oh, wait...

I'm 99% sure I'm going to buy the MS6. It's just a matter of logistics.

Love the ms6 although I haven't driven one... Only thing I'd want to see for myself, is the clutch engagement that the video is speaking of ^

I've seen that video. I'm not sure about the clutch take up, but considering the Accord 6mt clutch pedal was by far the most difficult pedal action to get used to, I'm sure I'll get used to it.

The Accord clutch was hard for you? The easiest clutch I've ever experienced was an 8th gen Accord... The 7.5 I drove didn't seem much more difficult.

What was the difficult part with the Accord for you? The friction point?

I really want to remove the check valve, I hear it makes a huge difference with the engagement.

And yeah, it isn't worth it going through insurance on a $180 windshield .. I'll go ahead and rock the cracked windshield for awhile, I'll post another pic .. it's double the size of the first picture I posted on Friday .

Congrats Aman! That car will keep going ... and going ... and going!

My car needs the timing belt done before the window, I'm moving out of my place in 3 weeks and I'll have a lot of extra cash to spend on a windshield next month.

Until then, I'll have to watch this crack grow lol.

This thread is lonely without Todd's 6MT

I like controlling the height of my vehicle with a flick of a switch

The ride can be better than stock, but the handling isn't that great

Hey, at least your can't get towed.

So, passenger door speaker decided it didn't feel like being a speaker anymore. It literally stopped working with no warning.

Anybody know mow much an EX replacement speaker is? I think they came with an upgraded audio system. I know speakers for DX and LX are only $9 , hoping these aren't that much more expensive.
