Installed the Pilot/MDX intake manifold spacer today. This is a pretty popular mod on TLs, but not many Accords have it yet. It's been milled down 0.5" by Paul on V-6-P so that there is no need to modify the hood liner. Just barely clears it, but it does clear it. Increase in tq and hp felt through out the powerband. Little over an hour to install. Decrease in mpg due to having too much fun with this mod. ![Big Grin](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

As I was perusing the lot of Hamilton Honda (Hamilton, NJ) today in search of a 2010 AV6 to possibly replace my 07, I had the opportunity to check out an 07 AV6 6MT sedan. Once again, the experience of driving the 6MT is poignant reminder how different a vehicle it is in comparison to my 5AT.
(Sidenote: Other than noting that the carbon fiber trim is much nicer than our brushed fauxluminum, my wife had no regard for how different the 6MT other than it "requiring more work to drive!"

SuperTrooper, do you have the part numbers for everything you got for the TL RSB? I'm hoping to get one myself someday.

I love the ground effects but hate the drop and chrome trim on the B-pillar.

My newest mod: Bi-Xenon projectors w/angel eyes retro'd into my OEM headlights with metalic graphite housings. 4300k, digital slim balasts, fused relays, etc.

Nicely done, although Im not a fan of the angel eyes.
Did you DIY or buy them like that? What projector are you using?

The projectors are a kit from Retro Solutions. They're basically plug n play with no cutting required for fitment. The backs of the projectors fit into the stock 9006 holes in the reflector housing and are secured with a washer/compression spring/wingnut combo and are pretty secure. You still have to remove the lens obviously to get them in there, but like I said, there's no cutting or permanent attachment via bolts/screws, so if I decide to go back to the stock halogens, I just have to crack them open and unbolt the projectors and put the stock bulbs back in and seal everything back up, but I'd have the projectors/ballasts/wiring to put into my next car.
Here a LINK to the kit, although the kit sold now is a little different than the one I put in (mine doesn't have the color changing backlighting or remote) but it's basically the same.
Here's how it works...

Oh, thats cool. I didnt know those came out yet. I remember the first gen version of those that werent too good, but in initial testing the 2nd gen performed much better.
Hows the output/cutoff?

Thanks guys.
The output is great for what it is IMO, but these are my first projectors. I had HIDs in my reflector housings before this and the glare was bad, so these are an 100% improvement over those.
The only thing that I was a little disappointed with is the cutoff not being a step, it's a slope, but I've gotten used to it at this point. In fact I feel like it helps with lighting up road side signs better than a step cutoff would. The G3 kit being sold now I believe is a step cutoff. Mine is the previous version of the G3 without the backlighting and step cutoff.
Here's the output at various distances:

Looks good. Seems to have a pretty even pattern.
I may recommend these to my friend who swears by PnP kits in halogen housings![Puke](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/puke.gif)
I may pick up a set for my motorcycle too. Cant beat the ease of install.

And yeah, the PnPs in halogen reflector housings is not a good thing. I should have known better than to do that, but I did it as a temporary solution until I figured out what retro I wanted to do. I got so tired and embarassed of getting flashed with hi-beams that I had to figure it out quick. Glad these came along. Saved some major time/money instead of doing a TSX retro.
Oh and by the way, if you put in the promo code "ACCORD" they're only $211.50 shipped.

Oh cool, nice to know someone else has done it, too. I didn't want the typical blackhouse since I had that before, not that it didn't look good, just wanted to try something a little different. I love the way it came out, now I just need to wet sand the lenses because even after the headlight repair kit they're still a bit scratched/cloudy.
