I'd love to get my hands on a plug-n-play kit like that, I just wish the cutoff was much sharper. How much did it run you?

EDIT: I just noticed that you said RetroSolutions is offering one with a step cutoff, which is what I want. looks great

Nice setup SP! Definitely looks sharp. On a sidenote, I didn't know 07+TL side mirrors could be retroffited on the 7G Accord coupes?! 7thGenVillain, how was the installation and if so how much did it cost ya?

I believe those mirrors are from the Accord Hybrid iirc? If not, before the Accord hybrid came out, I believe people retrofitted TSX mirrors onto their Accord base.

Upon closer inspection, those do look like '07 TL mirrors (blinker is higher), something I hadn't seen on an Accord until now.

It shouldn't be much harder to install than an Accord hybrid mirror.

On another note, do you guys ever get surprised looks when you tell them what year your 7th gen is?

A friend saw my car and asked if it was an '08. I said an '03 and he didn't believe me. I think he still doesn't.

There are others that will believe me no problem when I saw it's brand-new

Surprisingly there arent many 7th gen coupes in my area, so I can see that being the case. But, there are alot of 8th gen coupes here.

Hey, i have a question, my mom has a 2008 accord and well her brakes are going, and I'm telling my dad to stay away from OEM since the her rear brakes went out at 10,000 miles which is very short! And her front is now gone at 33,000 miles, Im not sure if thats good or bad but what would be some good aftermarket brake pads for around the same price as OEM? maybe i should just make a thread about this?

IIRC theres a TSB out for the 8th gens. The rear brakes do not last very long at all for some reason.

Look at Hawk and EBC Green or Yellow Stuff pads. I wouldnt get the Red Stuff pads if its your mothers car.

Whatever you do, don't buy from Andy's Autosport. I've only read horror stories online about them, and I actually know someone who bought an intake for his 2G TL and it was the wrong one!

Are there Axxis Metal Masters for 8th gens? I love them on my 6th gen and they last a long time with improved braking.

That's funny because I've had 3 different people think my 7th gen was an 8th gen. I even had one guy go on and on about how hard it is to find a new Accord coupe with the 6 speed manual tranny. I was like WTF I just told you it's an '03?

For the 7th gen crowd, most go with either Brembo blanks and Hawk pads for the performance side and if it's just an OEM comparible replacement Autozone Duralast rotors and pads. Just don't go OEM if you can help it. At least if the Autozone rotors warp you can get free replacement with their warranty no questions asked.

It's pretty nice though, sits pretty well. How come you haven't bought the HFP front kit? What do those go for?

It's a clean Accord but everything black on the front I don't like, like the SWAT team helmet thing on the hood. The drop is sick and the wheels are nice but I don't like it in white. I like white wheels but not on a silver car.

Yeah the stance is what makes it. Plus the white on silver look is hard to pull off but it works on his car IMO.

Lol I can't tell you how many people on V 6 P ask me when I'm going to get a lip. I'm just not a huge fan of body kits or lips. Plus I already have issues with curbs and barely clearing them. With a lip I'd definitely be wrecking it in no time.

You should post a picture of your Accord.

^same. I think a car dropped on coil overs completes the look and doesn't need any lip or body kits, but that's just IMO. Gosh looking at all these nice Accords makes me wish I bought the blue one I saw a while back...would be way better then my RSX =(.

^ I've done it more times than I can remember. Bottom of my bumper is pretty roughed up, but I honestly couldn't care less. Nobody can see it, and its not really a big deal. I consider it normal wear and tear.

^ I totally agree. It was just funny because I was just saying why I wouldn't get a lip. With the OEM bumper it just barely scrapes, but if I put a lip on it would most likely smash the front of the lip in considering I don't pay very close attention to my parking.

the OEM lip doesn't make it much lower, but for you already scrapping you would prob hit the front lol

When I took off the oem knob it felt like the same weight as my new RA96 knob. But there is a pretty big big difference in shift feel. The extra bit of extra weight makes shifting a lot much fun. I would say get the Long RA96 not the short one like Got. I am thinking of getting the long RA96 already and its only been one day.

I'm now a part of the accord club! time to find a place to do an HID retro for the fogs and headlights, get those homelink buttons done and a TSX RSB.
