The Official Gas Price Discussion Thread
#1161
The dumb thing is they are attempting to hurt the wrong people. I've done a fair number of financial analyses on gas stations and their margins on gasoline are razor thin. They aren't the ones profiting from the price increase; at all.

Yeah I noticed everything down here was up at $4.20-4.25 on my way home yesterday. I am sure next weekend for the holiday it will get bumped up nicely just because of all the travel.

$4.36/gallon for regular in Camarillo, CA yesterday.
Most don't, but it coincides with Spring Break for lots of students, so some parents take some days off during spring break off as well.
Yes, I'm posting from home as I took some vacation days.

^ Schools are generally out for the week before or after.
I live near I95, and basically any time school is out for a week, traffic rises along with the gas prices.
I paid $4.03 for 93 last night. $67 to fillup

I actually like the large rear flares
The hatch would be perfect for her too, along with the overall size of the car. Shes got an '08 Accord V6, and that thing is huge for no reason.
She really likes the TSX though. The gas mileage isnt as good, but still better then the Accord.

I paid $57 ($3.83/gallon of BP Ultimate) to fill up my I30 yesterday. The BP in Saddle Brook, NJ makes Premium the same price as Mid-Grade on Fridays, Sundays, and Wednesdays, so I saved around 10 cents a gallon. Gas Cubby said that for that fill-up I only averaged 19.2MPG, which isn't exactly the best, since my dad says he gets around 17 in his '09 GMC Sierra, but I don't even want to think about filling that thing up. And it's not like I'll ever look to public transportation to get to and from school. That just isn't happening

Not bad. Shes in NY, so its mainly stop and go for her. Her drive to work is about 9 miles one way. Id love to get her into a smaller, nicer, more fuel efficient car, but shes almost paid off on the Accord so shes thinking shes just going to keep it

We didn't buy a CR-Z to save gas. We didn't buy it because the previous vehicle was having trouble.
It was purely an emotional purchase. It's fun car that just happens to be good on gas.
