I've seen video of this, or one similar, running. Glasses of water on it with not a ripple.
Triple 4-rotor, built to the dimensions of a big block Chevrolet V8 as a boat motor, but would also fit into any BBC engine car.
7.8 liter, if it keeps to RX7 displacement.

The Original Acura NSX Was Honda's Most Successful Failure — Revelations with Jason C

Love the NSX tales, especially the aluminum chassis which the Honda motorcycle group helped tremendously with. One issue with this video, Bobby Rahal was more instrumental than Senna for chassis/suspension development. At the end, production was averaged only 5/day versus 25/day what the goal was.

Rear wing end plates look wrong for a 2005, but the rest of the body looks similar.

Oh, the glorious sound of the pre-turbo hybrid era cars! That was an expensive joy ride, BTW.

I remember them well and slightly before my time getting into motorcycles with a 1975 Honda MT125, the dual purpose version of their CR125 motocross. Both were 2-strokes, a first for Honda after a very long time. Shortly thereafter, a 1975 Honda CB400 Four Super Sport and many more after them.

FWIW, think you'd enjoy this book on Honda's history and business operations.

Simple solution to combat EV fires that also works with ICE fires too. It lowers the fire temp a lot makes it easier to manage and requires less water to put out the battery fire

And they talk about speed these days. LOL

The pic where you see Derek sitting in the doorway of the car, yes that is how small that car is. I was at the Porsche Museum in 2019 for the 50th anniversary of the 917, I knelt next to it and the roof of the 917 was at least a foot lower than the top of my head.

Have you read "The Developement of the Porsche 917 Car" by Hans Mezger. PDF attached. Talk about taking things to the limit.

Thanks, I had the opportunity of seeing one of the historic Gulf 917K's cars up close at the Amelia Concours a few years ago, yes 917's are smaller than they look in pictures. I'll post the link or pictures later. The story behind the 917 and it's development is as interesting as it's racing history

Driving the world’s smallest vehicle, the three-wheeled Peel P50 microcar, on the world’s largest track, the Nürburgring Nordschleife, is probably one of the dumbest things you can do in all of cardom. Doing it in the dark when you’ve never been in a P50 before, and never driven the Nordschleife before, is all the dumber. But that’s exactly what driver Max Fewtrell decided to do, attempting to set a ‘record’ for the fastest lap in a P50. Nobody had ever done it before, so he really just needed to finish the lap to get the record. And finish it he did!

Those 917 compact spares are probably available at any NTB

Since some of you liked those 917K pics here are two even more rare Porsches from the same show, ~1500HP twin-turbo 917/30 and 917 16 cylinder (one of only two 917-16 ever built both owned by Porsche). Imagine doing a tuneup on that 917-16, 32 sparkplugs

GR86 vs Cayman S?

Been a while since I've driven a BRZ [I think it was a 2016 or 17] and haven't been in a Cayman. Just from the title, I'd want to say the Cayman, easily, though I'm sure the Toyobaru is far cheaper to run.

No surprise there. I remember reading the book you recommended which I still have "Comeback - The Fall & Rise of the American Automobile Industry" written decades after "On A Clear Day You Can See GM" by DeLorean that I also have and read.
