Most of it was taken by the front bumper as it dropped and then rolled onto its roof. Too bad they survived. Mercy? I'm fresh out.

The BMW M1: a Race Car That Couldn't Go Racing — Jason Cammisa Revelations Ep. 29

One of my fav cars of the early 80's. I've seen one in person at Amelia Concours, totally beautiful car
As always Jason does a fabulous history of the amazing M1.
My older brother had a 1G M6 which had a M88/3 which is just a slight derivative of the M1's M88. Six individual throttle valves, bucket over shim/valves.

The usual aftermarket junk that any clown can produce that is not tested.

Of course these assholes just have to have their wheels stick out well beyond the fender illegally. I hope the a-hole gets sued big time.

I posted the wrong YouTube video for that incident. This one is complete, as a final insult that truck tire hit that poor Kia Soul driver a 2nd time in the rear after the Soul comes to a stop. Fortunately the woman driver of the Soul was not seriously hurt and walked away with minor injuries.

Holy shit. This looks like it's straight out of a Michael Bay movie.

Also a big reason I don't now, never have, and never will run wheel spacers.

‘Phantom vehicles’ leaving drivers in the dark

I see a 1-2 phantom vehicles every time I drive at time.
Good to see Canada, Porsche, and Ford have solved the problem.
Easy enough just to leave the light switch on "AUTO"

Thing is, I still see newer cars at night with their lights off, which means a conscious effort to turn them off from the default Auto setting.

I see this quite often here. Every time I do see it I wonder how the hell the driver thinks they have enough light in front of them? How do they not notice??? Yes, the LED DRLs do give off a good amount of light, but how about 30ft in front of them? These drivers are so damn silly.

I mostly see it pretty well lit areas, where the LED (Nissan especially) gives enough immediate light & the ambient light of the area covers the rest. Still makes you tough to see from behind when you hit the gaps in the streetlights.

The problem is the instrument cluster is now constantly lit up 24/7

In our old cars you'd have to turn the lights on to even see your speedo at night

Edit: I didnt watch the video he said the same shit

Don't even bother with that, fuck it. Not my problem if my blazing LED headlights are right at mirror height.

You'd think they'd remove the OFF setting for headlights and simply have Auto or On.

Also, with all of the interconnected systems in vehicles, program the headlights to turn on when the wipers are in use. There are so many idiots driving up and down the interstates in pouring rain without them.

My Explorer (2020) & Expedition (2018) both turn the headlights on with the wipers in use.
I think my Mercedes (2015) did also, but don't recall.

The problem is its not consistent - that's why need a mandate type of regulation which results in the manufacturers necessarily having to make these changes.

Just like backup cameras being mandatory, lights/wipers being linked should be as well.

The Tesla definitely does it...just the auto wipers suck ass lol. There might be a setting you need to enable for lights on with wipers.

I'll look through but admittedly I have the lights set to auto, and if the wipers are on it's usually dark enough for the lights to be on anyway.

But the Honda and VW definitely did not do it.

Golf definitely had an option in the infotainment you had to tick. It said "Lights on in the rain" or something to that nature. No clue about the Honda obviously.

Did some digging, Tesla apparently removed that option in one of the updates. No idea why. According to the Goog, it was removed in 2021.24.10.

I've never seen it as a user selectable option before.
Only place I've seen it is when fiddling around with ForScan on a Ford. Otherwise, it's permanently on.

I'd never buy a sports car with an automatic or PDK and yes, I have driven them both. And self driving cars I'd lump right in with those.

Surprisingly the latest Honda's DRL's are fairly bright and light up the road enough to think the lights are on. I've lost count of how many times I've told our oldest daughter to just leave it on AUTO.

+1, something should be done to easily eliminate this. It's not that complicated to solve, it's not a technology problem

This based on the styling of the body. I prefer the coupe in particular but I almost bought a convertible a very long time ago. I've always had a soft spot for the C2, then a 1970 with the LT1.

Quite surprised that lap times were the same considering a huge HP and torque difference. I did not expect that.

Dashcam Shows Out-of-Control Car Nearly Hit Fairfax Officer in Wild Crash

This LEO's quick reaction and getting away probably saved his life, look at the guardrail after the accident and how bent/deformed it is.

17 year old driver, BMW M3, 120MPH, losing control

Ironically the M3 hits a 7-series pulled over for a much smaller speed violation
