don't go getting any ideas LOL.
I kinda thought about it and i'm not really bothered by it. There weren't any coupes at my dealer that were optioned like I would want, and my sedan was EXACTLY what I would want in a sedan. I put a good bit down so my payment is like only $30 more than it would be with .9. Oh well, I guess I'll hve to order some blacklines and painted reflectors to console myself.

Installed the blacklines this evening (wife doesn't get home with car until late) and they look

Any of you guys considering the angel eye upgrade like this?

It's tempting.

I think replacing the entire angel eye setup is more common on e46's, because it was the only option to turn the lighting "blue".

e92s and the new e90s have an h8 bulb which you can replace for $20 to get the blue look (and not have to open the headlight), so most people do that. The downside is it isn't as bright as the replacement system.

Also, is it just me or is Sparkling Graphite no longer a 3 series color? That's crazy, it was the most popular 3-series color in e90/e92. Wonder why they ditched it? Too purple I guess?

^ Yep, it was a really hard choice for me. At first i had black leatherette on order since i didnt think there was a big difference.

Main reason i went with leather just for the door trim and the saddle brown color.

BTW, i know i said i wouldnt mod the 328i... but these rims are calling my name.

For once I disagree with your taste in wheels, I'm not really feeling those. I guess they sort of look like NEEZ, but I dunno.

I saw cTLgo's 335 mirrors folded up and thought to myself that is cool. I wished i had that!!

Later he showed me that my 328i does have that.

Llearning that is like modding but not really.

VMR wheels are a mixed bag. I hear everything from "no problems" to "I bent one running over a garden hose" type stuff.

I dunno if it's true. I'm just hearing that some Audi guys with 19s had serious issues.

You're talking about the auto-dimming exterior mirrors?

Amazing you didn't know about them given your ownership of two 3-series within the last few months!

I accidentally discovered the power folding mirrors while adjusting them just before one of my 335i test drives.

You're telling me you never hit the little circle next to the mirror selector out of curiosity when you got the 328?
<--hits all the buttons in cars to see what they do

I can confirm that Huper Optik ceramic plays nicely with comfort access.

Yeah, it has the heat rejection of metallic without the interference problems. I searched all over the internet and it seemed hit or miss with CA and metallics and hybrids. I wanted the Formula One pinnacle ceramic but I couldn't find anyone within 100 miles or so that installs it. It seems to be a little cheaper than the Huper. I found someone about 4 miles from my house with the Huper so I went with that. All of the tint places I went to around here said people just want the cheapest tint, so that's all they carry.

I've heard similar experience on the audi boards too. The guys at VMR are really cool I will give them that much for sure. I bought their boost gauge and the guy installed it for me for free. I probably could have done it myself, but since the car was still new to me I didn't wanna fuck it up since they knew how to do it.

Are you a member of any of the audi boards?
