Their cars are cheaper because they are a high volume car dealer. They buy cars all over the place even at auction.
They sell them all over the U.S, can even find their ads in magazines. Problem with that is they dont inspect any of the cars really. So you need to comb through them on your own to find a good one.
Bunch of guys on euroteknik bought cars from them. Some good stories some really bad ones. Just be smart about it.
Also dont expect them to fix anything. They will say they will just to get the sale but its a pain in the ass to actually get them to do it. So find a car that doesnt need any fixing at all.

However, I didn't realize that maintenance is not part of the CPO program.
The car I found is fairly well loaded and can be had $37K with CPO. Folks however over at e90post don't seem to think it's all that good of a deal.
And I'm tasked with the issue on driving 70 miles during what is probably the busiest I've even been at work to try and close the deal. I guess I would make time if I REALLY wanted the car... My priorities are all out of whack.

^Is the 3 for your wife? The X5 3.0 is nice but the engine struggles a lot to move it's hefty weight. The MDX made more sense to us, but again six months after driving an SUV
even the wife was tired of it. I'll never get another SUV unless it's a Cayenne Turbo

i need to haul clients around once in a while and we need something to go up the mountains in as well. i figured the 3.0 might we a little weak but i can't justify (or afford for that matter) the price of a 4.8. 2006 or older 4.4's were a consideration but I would hate not having the features of the 2007+ models.
MDX is a strong second on my list. X3? I feel it's to girly.

^The MDX Sport sounds best for you. It looks good is somewhat fun to drive and I guess you could find a deal on some left-over 07's. Take a look at some CPO FX45's as well. if you want power at the wheel...

I went to the 2 closest dealers today, Peake BMW in New Orleans and Brian Harris BMW in Baton Rouge. Out of the 2 dealers, there was one car on the lot. Both said they would "try to get me SOME discount" if I ordered one. So if I pay close to sticker at a dealer, I figure the seller of the afformentioned car is taking about a 6-7k hit for 2500 miles. That way it won't sting as bad if I want to get something else a little further down the line.

There is no reason anyone should be paying close to sticker still. MANY all over the U.S are getting at least $1k off sticker.
Never go into the dealer and believe what the sales guy says. You will get a better deal if you want to order the car. Just email the internet sales manager at each dealer with your specs and tell them you looking for a dealer who will agree to 1k over invoice for it. Then tell them that the first dealer to agree will get the sale and that you will come in today to leave a deposit.
Let them work against each other.

There is a pretty big difference between 1k off sticker and 1k over invoice. I guess looking at used is part of my internal justification process for getting another car since there is absolutely nothing wrong with my 06 tl other than the fact that I am bored. I realize not to believe what the salesman says and of course I take that with a grain of salt. You guys are sending me over to the darkside with this thread LOL. I just thought that 3k off invoice was a good deal for a car with 2500 miles. especially with it being current model year. If I could get a new one for 1k over invoice, this one would still be 4k or so cheaper at 44k.

im so glad I got the 6 speed. I got screwed over when I got my CL. they released the 6speed 6 months after i got it. grrrr. From then on, I knew I wanted a stock turbo car, with a 6 speed. I love my 335i. I like where the clutch engages. Its not that much of a PITA when in traffic. all in all thanks AZ (aka BMMERZINE) for helping me to get this great car!.
