I've gotta get in on this -- Here's what mine looks like:

Not actually my car, but mine looks identical except that I have dual exhaust tips on the left.

It's just not practical enough for me..

You can't get the 2.0T in stick or quattro

Audi sucks.

Anyways, I found this one for sale locally:

Same color combo I wanted (except I hate woodgrain with PASSION, but i'm sure there are aftermarket aluminum/CF trim pieces available) I figure I can get them down to about 19-20 OTD with a trade-in, as they would probably have better luck selling my TL than this beast of a car in VA.

Thoughts? I'm gonna go look at it tomorrow, weather is supposed to be nice. The only thing that slighty scares me off is insurance but I doubt they would classify an AWD, auto in the same area as a M3 or something...
FWIW: My sister has a 04 S4, quattro, automatic, dolphin grey, they've had it since 12,000 miles, its now at 55,000 and so far they only had two problems: a bad window motor, and a fan stopped working.

Other than that, just the normal maintenance, the car has been great for them. Just keep in mind the gas is horrible, especially coming from a TL...

I know. The pre 09 A3's, if you wanted quattro, you had to get 3.2, not the 2.0T. For 2009, they finally let you have quattro and 2.0T...

^ Thanks.

The local Audi shop near me, the owner has a black rs4, and it is just sick. Looks just like yours.

Found a video on youtube:

My dad said when he had his Audi the window motors kept going bad (back in the 80's) I guess things don't change...

Then again, my TL's passenger window motor went out 3 times so far

Anyways, the one I posted a link to is a 2005 (pre-facelift) with 34,400 miles with an asking price of 22,950. Silver w/ charc. interior, 6AT. It sounds too good to be true....carfax looks clean, only thing replaced (noted) was the ignition coils, and it looks like its been regularly maintained.

http://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistory...&partner=ATD_W

What scares me is why the first owner sold it at such low mileage. I understand there could be a million different possibilities (too powerful, gas mileage, too sporty etc..) but it can really go both ways.

I figure they're going to have a hell of a time trying to sell this car given the current economic situation. I'm really going to aim for 20,000 OTD...the way I see it, with my TL as a trade in, they're going to sell me the S4 and sell the TL in no time rather than having the S4 sit on the lot. I'm sure they bought the previous owner out at 16-17k so they're still making a good chunk. My friend said 20k is unrealistic, but i'll throw it out and see if they bite.

I parked in that lot so many times, that that staircase and curve of the concrete was enough to give it away.

Haha....I parked in that lot during my 1st quarter at Cal Poly because my classes were in the buildings up there. After that, my classes were mostly in Bldg. 9.

Yeah, I live in West Covina.

They meet every other Wednesday in Pasadena. I've gone a few times and have met a lot of cool people. I have a tough time going though because my grad classes only get out at 10pm on Wednesdays. I've been dropping in afterwards to at least see the cars and say hi to everyone.

My username on Audizine is the same as it is here in case you're a member over there.

Since trends in Europe/UK always take a while to get here, this was inevitable.

What series was it that Jeremy said that cocks stopped buying BMWs and now drive Audis? Series 11 or 12?

Just took a little while for d-bags in America to want to drive Audis I guess.

I feel I should state that I've wanted an Audi since 2002 when the B6 A4 was released. Been a fan of Audi since then mostly because of styilng, although I can honestly say I didn't know much about them until 2 years ago when I really started looking at purchasing one.

but you're right, trends from europe take longer to come over here than trends from going there do. It's the american's mentality that bigger is better. that's the problem if you ask me. Hence only now are we starting to see more people liking the smaller cars again with more power.

I am in the same boat. I liked the B5s a lot but when I sat in a 2002 A4 that my friend bought, I was sold on it.

It took me six years to get one but I finally did.

Cool. I graduated in 97, so no I'm not there anymore...well, except for photoshoot.

Yeah, I know about that meet, but I've yet to go to one. I gotta try to go out there some time. Is the next one on the 29th? Are you planning stopping by that one after your class? My username there is also the same as it is here.

I also liked the B5, maybe because of the BTCC series then. The Audi's were so beautiful in the races.

Back in 98, before I got my Prelude, the B5 was my other choice.

I'm gonna try to stop by, if I do it wouldn't be until 10:15-10:30 since my class lets out at 10pm. the next one should be on the 29th.

Anyone in here use the Ipod interface in their Audis? I have my music on "shuffle" normally when I listen to my Ipod. The interface in the Audi doesn't seem to shuffle it though, and plays songs sequentially. Is there a way to get it to recognize that the Ipod settings are on "shuffle"?

And no, I haven't had time to read the manual yet

I love the Mk II TT ... I would love to have one.

I may still ... The 2010 is getting the new MMI and Nav ... By the time my S4 is paid off in 30 months, I should be able to get a 2010 TT in the mid-20s.

I'd get black with a drop and these wheels:

^^^ Nice!

I'm badly in need of cleaning mine.

Just found a problem with the clear bra on mine last saturday. from the outside looks like it got scorched, but I don't know how gonna have to have the clear bra removed and hope that the paint isn't damaged.
