news from my dealer on the 04 TL and '04 RL

i saw a clip from looked like an email or even a news article...that said the new RL would have a 3.0L V6 powering the front wheels and a 160 HP IMA electric powering the rear...went on to say as seen in the 400hp DNX...also my sales lady that had just come back from a trip to drive and compare the TSX said the new TL will be 280hp and the typeS will be dropped....also added that the CL is likley gone...
OH and BTW on the way to the dealer for a little exhaust hanger replacement ...the transmission bit the dust ...im in an RSX loaner

That jives with what the asistant service maneger said at my dealership. I asked about the RL & he said it would come with a gas/hybrid motor. Since the 2004 RL refresh has already been shown that would most likely be on a 2005 model. I have stated before that in one of my car mags not sure what one it said the RL was so long overdo for redesign. It also said the designer was fired for some reason & this is why the car was far behind.

I was also told by my dealer that the 2005 RL would have 400hp, with a hybrid engine in it and getting around 50mpg. I don't know if I believe him on the 400hp, but when he mentioned it I said 'Yeah, 200hp to the front and 100 hp to the rear for 300 hp right?' and he said 'No, 400hp total!' ... It would be very impressive to see the RL with 400 hp, that would definitely set a new hp standard for the segment.

what makes that more funny is my sales lady said 400 also...thats because the article went on to mention the 400hp DNX concept car but in regards to the RL it said 3.0 v6 200 hp powering the front wheels and an IMA 160 hp to the rear

I think the DNX was a i-VTEC 3.5 putting out 300hp and the electric motor was 100hp for the 400hp. The '05 RL will be out about this time next year because the '04s just came out. It should be one bad ass ride w/ 400hp. I wonder how much it will cost?

The CL is done from what my service manager said to me. I just asked him casually when they were to expect their last shipment of CL's and he responded with a "Oh, you know about that? It's not suppose to be public notice because they don't want the CL's that are still on the lot to not sell anymore." He then went on to tell me that they were told to not expect anymore CL's after april.
