new car .. err truck... bye bye cl

I sold my 01 type S to a very close friend for a rediculously low price.

and bought myself a hemi 1500 ram. This truck is great, beastly power, tons of room (i'm 6'6" the acura was a bit cramped). Anyway here's a couple of pictures

plan to do some mods, CAI , exhaust, headers , maybe a super charger years from now.

A Hemi in a standard cab short box? That thing must be capable of doing smokey burn-outs for miles and miles. Congrats on the purchase

What'd you have in your CL? I have a RumbleBee Ram and it feels like it can take on my CL-S anytime it wants.

Congrats on your new purchase though, looks real slick.

quad cab was 2k more and with my deadbeat friends i dont feel the need to give anyone a ride.

the cl type s had headers and intake, and was running really lean according to the new owner.

like i said i havent gotten on the throttle full out yet...

Good luck with it. A standard cab short bed isn't a useful pickup.
I'm not sure why you got it?

Nice trade. I think I'm going to be in the market for a pick-up at some point. Especially when I get a house.

Neither was your post. No need to shit on the dude's parade. He got what he wanted and they are as useful as you need them to be. It all depends on what your hauling.

i don't know why it wouldn't be useful...the bed's just as long if not longer than the one on a quad cab. he just can't cart as many people around. hell, if i didn't have the need for a backseat, i'd be rolling single or extended cab too.

i'm not too interested in having extra room for people.

as for the trucks usefullness, i've already used it at work hauling various furniture and pc's etc... so its actually proven quite useful.

Besides less weight frees up the hemi's usefullness.

Overall fuzzy. I'd say its pretty useful. The primary reason, as i believe i stated in the first post was i'm 6'6" and the truck has lots of head room, leg room , etc for my large self.

I was just referring to the fact that a pickup as a pickup just isn't a pickup if it's not useful.
I know people that bought pickups cause they thought they would be cool, & then never used the bed, or found the inside was too small for people.

That's all I was saying.

As I said good luck with it.

fuzzy i can haul an atv, dirt bikes, a fifth wheel trailer, whats not useful about it ??? lol

though the bed is only 2" longer then 6 feet, they make a wonderful device called an extender which adds two feet. but aside from that i still have the towing power
