Found a nice auto vagon (no recaro) too. I'd be looking for an auto and honestly, don't care about the Recaro seats. But need to sell the Porsche first

Great condition, but I doubt he'd go south of 45k on it.

And a 86+$2500 in mods (no engine mod) hang with a E92 M3 at the track just fine.

But yeah, I should suck it up and make more $$$. That's all it comes down to. The M3s are one of the best cars to DD+Track, no doubt.

That said, it's a royal PITA to maintain and keep on the road especially if you daily drive it. The S54 is such a high strung engine that requires meticulous and constant maintenance to make sure it doesn't blow itself up. A friend of mine spends near $2k a year in maintenance to keep his on the road as a daily.
I almost traded my 330 for one a few years ago but in the end I was really glad I didn't. E9X M3 is much more reliable (relatively) though.

I've heard similar sentiments about the e9x M3s. Definitely a collector.

Worrying about fuel economy in a car like the V is for pussies and treehuggers.
But just in case you care, I have a Fuelly and I do keep track, mostly because I have OCD in that way.
I have to update it but 14 mpg is as good as it gets with this car in mixed driving.
25 cents a mile to fuel this car.
On the other hand, my RLX hybrid is 11 cents a mile to fuel.
I have fun with both, in different ways.

You don't buy any performance car for the fuel economy.
Think of it in smiles per gallon, it's easier to justify that way.

That's awesome Bob.. When I picked up the V it was at 15 mpg.. After a week of hooning it dropped to 12 and is just north of 14 now. For a couple of weeks I had the dash set to instant fuel readings, and I must say that if you cruise on the highway and take it real easy, you could definitely net +20 mpg. I switch between speedo and tire pressure (got a puncture this weekend).
Talking about tires and TPMS. I intermittently get no reads on one of the front tires. I know this is common and there is a relearn procedure that helps combat this. When I bought the V that tire was set to +45 psi, and learned that's a common trick to keep it from flipping out. Is it worth it to buy a wand, or just live with it / do relearns? Also, if there's an error with the tire reading, does it shut any performance down that you're aware of?

Honestly...for what it is...that's not very bad mileage. I used to get that in my 2006 Nissan Frontier NON SC. Terrible...just terrible...so I guess that's my problem...I was bored and hated the drive AND got 14 MPG...I'm sure if I had the V or the Coyote 5.0 I always wanted...MPG would be the last thing on my mind. Being European, loving hatches and always driving Japanese econo rides though...it would be VERY counter intuitive for me.
Fine...put me in line to buy yours if you ever sell. I think I'm number 6...or 9...
Hey...
oh wait.

JB.. for the money, that OBM wagon is the buy. It's funny you posted that sedan, I was looking at that the other day. The seller doesn't disclose much about it, or they don't know.
It's modded. Aside from plastidipping everything, check the exhaust, definitely aftermarket. Doesn't look like corsa, but makes you wonder what else is going on with that V. If you go to the dealer site, they have pics of the engine. No intake, but the cover is detailed (painted s/c logos). Wheels are wrapped in V12s. Could be worse. Price is good.

^ I'm thinking the dealer got that sedan on trade and doesn't really know much about it. The dealer does have good reviews, but I need to sell the Porsche before I can make a move so I'm not really going to look into it, but I love that blacked out look.
I do love that OBM Vagon too. The white one isn't bad either and I could just wrap it in Satin Blue Metallic. We'll see if either are around when I'm ready...

Do freak out and think you maybe lent one of your wheels to Justin and he never mentioned when he'd borrow it?

I am so used to the awful fuel economy in the V now that I don't even think about it. I consider the fuel bill part of my entertainment fund. Not kidding here!

Didn't see that post, sorry.
Buy a wand, they are worth the effort. It takes about 60-90 seconds to do a relearn with one.
I swap out my winter and 3-season wheels by myself and reset the TPMS myself so I am well versed in the procedure.
After the 2010 model year the old relearn system (deflate tire slightly until system chirps) was changed so that only a wand could be used. This is a good thing as you don't have to get your hands dirty using the wand.
If the TPMS sensor is going bad there is no effect on any other systems. If a relearn resets it there's nothing much to worry about. If it is persistent, get it replaced.

ah.. I guess I'm getting a wand. Any recommendations (that won't break the bank)? The issue is intermittent, comes and goes without me doing anything. Not sure if that's symptomatic of a failing TPMS sensor.

Having CTSV wheels on my G8 i have same problem, sometimes when im driving just one sensor triggers the alarm on the dash for a second or two then goes away, eventually it happen that it threw the TPMS error on the dash but next time i started the car it was all good. i noticed that with the new wheels the difference between a cold and hot pressure is significant almost hard to believe from 38 cold goes up to 44 hot and i know its not accurate since i checked with my own pressure gauge and it was below 40. is there permament fix for this ? im about the order whole new TPMS set

I'm not so sure the temp and tire pressure is off..
Consider that a tire going from a moderate cold temp to cruising will raise anywhere from 40-60 degrees. Rule of thumb is 10 degrees per 1 psi. If you're out hooning it, even more. So 5-6 psi is common. I see about 1 psi raise for every 5-6 minutes I'm driving. It's normal.
