Delta, sorry to hear about the wife situation. Like you said, you will always have contact with her because of the kid. Try to be the bigger person in this.
As for the truck and the car. Congrats. Finish your build and sell the truck if you don't need it. I would not give it to her at this point. Sell it and bank the cash.

Sorry about the wife..... But there are reasons things happen. I think this is a sign you'll get someone better. MUCH better. A lot of women out there, keep your chin up.
And speaking of more women, I think the RT will definitely help in that department. And to tell women you built a truck for the RIGHT woman (not your ex), they will see you're a good dude.
car, though.

thanks ravi and mrmako! i am thinking u are right about not giving it to her, because she will just run it into the ground and when im ready to sell it i will get less money.

Did you get a good deal? No fucking dealer here wants to budge on price, ignorant.

ugh you guys paid over stickers.
I cant stand when people cave to that...just exacerbates the problem with dealers.
But congrats on the car, the B5 isnt a color for me, but its certainly a hot one.
The the orange one your pops had was a 08 srt?

Very nice....
And keep the truck. It will look nice as you try out replacements for the Ex. They don't need to see the Challengers just yet.

I'm also insanely jealous. I made an offer on a used black RT 6spd to a guy on the chally forums, turned out to be a shady douche. sucks. I had the loan ready and everything.

I would have jumped on a barebones black one here, but chrsyler stopped the 0%.
I love the car but I will never pay over sticker, and at this point with chrysler in limbo...Im not even willing to pay sticker.
Just going to keep my eyes peeled on the used market.

my car is going thru some lemon law issues because its having alot of ignition problems. i will find out soon prob if they are going to replace it. if they do i am thinking of getting a white R/T 6MT and doing either a black/white or gold/white theme (gold/white like the hurst challenger)

I was looking more for a barebones 33-ish or elec conv pack...which gets up to 35k.

Hell, might be better to your own mental health to just call it with her. If she regrets it, her own fault.

I drove the RT with stick, I REALLY liked it.
#152
u hit it just right. im a lazy driver alot of the times so i dont always feel like shifting (anymore). but the auto stick is ideal. plus as corny as it sounds,i like auto because i can hold hands with my SO or touch thier leg...or depending on what shes wearing

I'd not rush back into her arms, though. I mean, she was on a ship for a while. Don't mean to sound cold, but I think she needs to get her shit together before being a permanent fixture in the home. :twocents:
And the Challengers are crazy. I saw a Japanese guy here with a Charger, black, and pulled over because it had issues. There was a tech there and had a computer hooked up to it. And he spent like $65K plus for the Hemi. Love the look, but I'd rather have a 1970.

I LOVE the pix above with all three Challengers. AWESOME. I'm jealous!
I also hope things work out with the wife. Being part of a military family myself (two bros and my dad), I have seen up close how much a long deployment can strain a relationship. You will have to give her time when she gets back to get herself mentally together. So sorry to hear about this, my heart would be broken in the same situation.

The truck's coming along nicely. Glad you were finally able to get it primered.
Somebody in my neighborhood just got an orange RT...saw it yesterday. It looked great. I've seen plenty out and around, but this one is close to home...should see it much more often. Saw a Camaro Friday...first one...it was yellow...I'll need to see one better than flying down the interstate, but it didn't come across as striking as the Challenger.
